All visitors to Germany should experience Rothenburg. This is an excellent day trip from Munich.

Very nice experience, definitely worth going.

Due to road construction, the bus had to take an alternate route which made some tourists sick. The rural roads were hilly and twisting. The tour itself was good. Could have done without the Harburg stop and spent more time in Rothenburg.

We enjoyed a beauiful day in a beautiful city. There is time to walk around and enjoy lunch and see the sites on your own. I definitely recommend this.

Quaint village. Highly recommend spending time exploring the village and not exploring the shops.

Disappointed that everything is an extra fee.

Rothenburg was a really nice town. It was worth going to see it just to get a flavor for what it was. It would be a nice place to get a hotel and stay for a couple of days. The guide was OK. She provided general demographics during the bus ride to the town, which was helpful in understanding the area and the town. Harburg Castle was very interesting and worth visiting.

This was a good trip, but if I had to do over again, I'd probably rent a car and drive there with others. Being on a bus is sometimes hard to do.

Rothenburg was definitely the highlight! It was a long drive, but caught up on some sleep on the way back.

Our tour guide was not very nice. Since we ended up taking this tour on a German holiday we heard from other people stores may be closed in Rothenburg so we asked our tour guide. We were not the only ones to ask either. He got upset and said you don't go to Rothenburg to shop, you can buy that junk anywhere. You go for the history. He said this several times. Rothenburg is a beautiful historic town with many neat shops. Definitely worth seeing and yes the stores were open. The Harburg fortress is awesome. It is around 1000 years old. Beware on tours that charge extra for the entrance to the castles and even overcharge from the rate you'd pay if you walked up and bought them yourself when you got there. They keep from 1-3 euro on top of what you've already paid for the tour.

The trip would have been better without Harburg Castle and just spending the entire day in Rothenberg, but it was still a great experience. Rothenberg is such a neat town.
