Whole trip was very good , Rothenburg as beautiful as the brochures, Harburg Castle very interesting, coach very comfortable
Harburg Castle is really neat and full of history, however you do not get to see all of the castle, but the parts you do get to see are interesting. The real star of this trip is Rothenburg. This medieval town is a site for the eyes, and great for souvenir shopping! A must see is the Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas shop, which never seems to end!
But an even more interesting find was the Anneliese Friese Shop just up the street. Filled with cuckoo clocks and hand carved boxes, this shop is a must visit as well!
This was a fantastic day, we loved both Harburg and Rothenburg. Our bus driver was a magician at times as had to negotiate closed roads with an alternate route. Our tour guide was amazing. We would highly recommend this tour.
AMAZING! This was by far my favorite stop in Germany on our 10 day European vacation. Rothenburg is exactly what you want to see while in Germany. It holds a quaint feeling with all of its specialty shops and adorable buildings. I would almost have liked to spend the night here, not that the tour felt rushed. I just enjoyed it here that much! Harburg was a surprise! I suppose I did not research this tour enough, because I did not realize we were stopping there. It turned out to be my husbands favorite castle that we saw (also went on the Royal Castles tour). It was nice to see a castle that was functionally old and not just built to look old. I would definitely recommend this tour and the Royal Castles to anyone staying in the Munich area. We enjoyed touring outside of the city more then we enjoyed Munich itself.
Sometimes tours like this try to go too many places in a day. This is perfect, a little bit guided tour and a lot of time to explore on your own. Highly recommended.
Rothenburg was the most interesting little town I could ever imagine...the quaint shops, the great architecture, the whole atmosphere took us back in time...a whole different world...lots of great food and so many interesting craft shops ---that shoppers could probably spend a few days here! Harburg was fascinating ...but was not so romantic...unless you were part of the family in the castle, I suppose...the buildings were well preserved...even the areas where punishments were given...a great day trip.
Beautiful trip! Tour guide Ana was fun and informative. We had a great time!
It was an amazing tour. The tour guide Ana was superb. The buses were luxurious and the driving was safe and sound.
overall a fabulous experience.
Highly recommended. Do not miss it. Lovely locations. Excellent guide
This tour was well worth it. Rothenburg was beautiful. Wish we had a bit more time there.
Irmgard was our tour guide. She was excellent. Tour as great. Rothenburg is a great medieval city. It also has a fantastic Christmas store that is a must see. On the way there you also see Harburg castle and grt a tour of it. Also very good to see. It is a long day as you spend 6 hours in the bus but it is worthwhile
Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable. Had time on our own for shopping and lunch. Very relaxing
We have a marvelous time on this trip. The personalized tour at the Harburg is amusing and gave us a glimpse of living in a medieval castle. And of course who would not love Rothenburg. I have been to this walled city 3x and still love the feel of being there and walking around. I wish I have an extra day to stay overnight.
Great and strongly recommended, everything is good, including the coach, guide, lunch and visit
loved this tour, loved our guide Ana, I'll highly recommend her, she had so much info for us, this is the perfect way to spend a hot summer day
Wonderful , charming and enjoyable city. The guide did his best but had a slightly mental tourist to deal with.
