Really wonderful. A nice mix of outdoor/indoor - with the majority of time in the outdoors looking at gorgeous scenery. The guide was execelllent.

A must see. The Islands visited were great and the Royal Castle of Herrenchiemsee was outstanding. Really incredible. Lunch on the Island was very good as well.
My only negative comment is that we could not take phots like we did the last time I was there in 1962.
Greatly enjoyed tour of Herrenchiemsee. Would have enjoyed it more if we had been advised of the horse carts that take you to the castle. Guides tend to walk to fast for some of us older people. Then we have to try to find them when we get to the castle.
We were so lucky. The day was absolutely gorgeous, and the boat rides were amazing. Arriving to Herrenchiemsee and visiting the castle was incredible, and later, having lunch at one of the local restaurants at Fraueninsel made the whole experience unforgettable.

very pleasant day - beautiful drive through Bavaria and then boat trip to 2 islands. I particularly enjoyed the tiny little island with the Benedictine convent as so peaceful. The larger island with the monastery and royal palace also very interesting.
The actual tour was excellent but the guide was a bit dour. Not very energetic in his narration.
Things were very systematic and organized. However ,the Lunch was not arranged at a good place; very average food at a very high price.

This is a light day trip and is quite enjoyable. Although it takes a full day, quite a bit of time is spent on boats but the overall tour is enjoyable.
Wonderful. It made us realize what it is like to live like a king.
