The tour was amazing, the guide was really helpful and always checking the group no one could get lost, the coach was nice. I would definitely recommend this tour. It's a pity, the time within the Castle is limited, but this is beyond the tour operator, as those are the policies in both Castles.

Although the tour description does indicate there is significant walking, it should emphasize this even more. The amount of walking, especially at Neuschwanstein, will be a problem for anyone with any heart or ambulatory problems.

Our tour began promptly and our guide was very hospitable. Eat breakfast before going on the tour as lunch is not scheduled until 1pm at Neuschwanstein. In order to shop at Oberammergau, you can't waste time having a snack. Many of the shops in Oberammergau are not open on Sundays, my son was there on a Sunday in January. Weather can be a factor, a few inches of snow fell while we were at Neuschwanstein. The weather may have also been a factor as we did not have to wait in a long line to enter the castle or to be served in the restaurant. The snow did make for some beautiful photographs, however, statuary in the gardens were covered for winter. Unless you are physically fit, I suggest the carriage ride that takes you about two thirds of the way up to the castle. The combination of elevation of the Alps and physical fitness level can make it a challenging walk. The bus was comfortable and clean. Our guide made sure we had our tickets for the castles. I talked to someone who was not on a tour who walked all the way up to the castle before they knew tickets were purchased below, and had to take that long walk twice.

Great day trip, although there is a half hour walk up hill to the last castle which can be a little difficult for some.

The trip was divine! Everything went well. In the beginning, when we expected the bus it was very confusing but after that everything was right. It was a great experience, the meal we ate, in a hotel chosen by the guide, it was great!

We had a great time. This was well organized and the tour leader gave us good information. She did an amazing job. For our next vacation, if we want to go on another day tour, we will book with the Viator again.

Absolutely brilliant, stress free trip. It was so romantic to see both castles deep in snow and the drive through the snow covered countryside was equally enchanting. Both castles are incredible, Ludwig had a fascinating imagination. Our guide was entertaining too. They even had refreshments, including Gluhwein, on the coach. Definitely better than getting the train or driving. Thanks! Oh, but the meeting point has changed from Herties to Karlstag, same address.
