Friends urged us to see Salzburg but as non-fans of the Sound of Music we were luke warm. This tour was a fun way of doing it. Our group had no fans in it either so the guide adjusted his focus to the more historical interest of our group. A good pace and sufficient time for independent exploration.

Our guide was extremely good. We did a lot of walking around and looking at churches, and had very little time to ourselves to go to the lovely little shops or wander through the streets. Would have liked to spend more time there. We would definitely go back but would stay overnight as this visit was only a snapshot of Salzburg.

This trip was great. Just the right amount of tour and free time. They rented us a private bus to get to Salzburg instead of canceling the tour when there were issues with the train.
