Yolanda did an amazing job! We loved it and the walking tour was very informative. Walking tour should be put in big letters in the description because many on our trip were surprised that they had to walk at all and were very vocal.
Adorable city!! Great recommendations from our tour guide, Alun, about what to do, see, and eat. Amazing views if you go to the top of the fortress!!
We enjoyed this tour very much. Maxine was our tour guide. She was great and so much fun. She did such a excellent job of making our experience in Salzburg wonderful. The city is beautiful with so much history. I am really glad we chose this tour. Thanks!!
This trip is worth the effort, the train ride is 2 hours plus but the tour guide will keep you
entertained, we had Jeff he was brilliant and he knew his history of Salzburg very well a really interesting guy.
Go to the fortress on the hill, but use the train if you can, wonderful views from here and good café.
Lots of shopping intertwined with lots of history! The restaurant built into the mountain side if amazing!
Our trip to Salzburg for the day by train was outstanding. Our guide did a fantastic job. She took us to all the places that were included in the Sound of Music at one time or another. What was really cool is that on the way back to the US on the airplane one of the movies you could select was indeed the Sound of Music and it was great to see all the places that we were just at in the movie. Our tour guide was accompanied by her fantastic dog, who had great discipline. Hopefully I can submit a photo with this review.
Loved the tour. Our guide was really good, and gave us a lot of interesting and sometimes funny or sad historical perspective on the city. The few hours they gave us on our own was enough to have a great meal and explore to our hearts' content. We're going to use these guys again next year for a castle tour.
The guide is good, she is flexible to allow us to stay longer at the site. Salzburg is a wonderful town for tourist, beautiful and friendly people around.
Excellent tour! Many trains had been cancelled due to recent flooding in Germany, but Alun ensured that our group was timely so we would not miss the only train that day traveling to Salzburg. He was very knowledgeable and made it a fun day!
Our day started off uncertain as the floods in eastern Europe cancelled our first train and the next train never came. Our third train was a fast train and we were able to get to Salzburg. Our guide Maxine was great, she was very knowledgable and interesting. We enjoyed our tour of the city and also had free time to wander about. I would recommend this trip if you have only a day to visit this city.
A perfect way to experience Salzburg if only one day to spare. It's just as described, and the free time is lots to get around to everything.
This train option run tour was such a terrific day and an experience well worth recommending to others. Our guide Ian and his sidekick Bernard were exceptional. He navigated us onto the trains and took time with everyone to discuss the history of Salzburg and a great informational through the city walk.We were given an appropriate amount of free time afterwards and there are great shops and restaurants and remarkabke sights to be seen. This trip, and with Ians guidance is a must do for anyone looking for side trips. The train ride and views were also flawless, and a nice option not to be on the bus.
