Fantastic tour - Lucia the tour guide was superb. Very knowlegdeable, great personality and kept us entertained with her knowledge and anecdotes throughout. The city of Salzburg is beautiful, rich in culture and tradition and even though it was raining towards the end, we had a fantastic time. I'd recommend this trip to anyone.

Great trip from Munich to Salzburg. Train was excellent. Tour guide Nicola was very good. Lovely sunny warm day. Other passengers ok. Some thought it was more suitable to go off and buy numerous coffees at the station rather than listening to Nicola's instructions. When she head counted, some people not there.. buying more coffee, not listening, expected off children, not full grown adults much older than myself and my friend. Overall would recommend this trip definitely.

This tour is awesome! This is on my short list of favorites for our whole trip. The town is so quaint, beautiful, and there are so many historically interesting things to see here. I loved it, I can't recommend this enough!

This was a brilliant day out. We travelled on 2nd September 2012 and although the rest of the family were dreading the thought of a long day, as we were to meet at 9.15 and we wouldn't return until 7pm. Lucia was a brilliant and organised guide who looked after us from start to finish. She ensured the group (11 of us) were seated together on the train, which was clean and efficient. Lucia provided us with a tour around Salzburg showing us some of the film locations from the film Sound of Music and recommended good viewing points, cafe's, shops, chocolates and cakes! We were then we were left to our own devices for 3 hours, although some group members did go off on their own earlier. There was so much to see and do that the whole day just went so quickly. Even other members of the family who weren't keen on going enjoyed the whole day, which was one of the highlights of the holiday. We were incredibly lucky to have been greeted by sunshine is Salzberg. I would recommend that you go to the loo on the train before you get off at Salzburg so that you get the most of the tour guide before going off on your own. We were only in Munich for 3 days and I was so glad that we used up one of those days to visit Salzburg - I recommend this trip to anyone.

I recommend this tour if you've never been to Salzburg and want a hassle free way of doing so. Radius Tours (located IN the main train station) does a great job with their tours. This trip is a lovely 2 hour train ride to Salzburg, traveling through the Bavarian countryside and into the mountains. After the train, a short bus ride takes you to the main part of the city where you start a fairly short, informative tour about the city. After that, you have about 3 hours to explore on your own. The city is quite charming with lots of fun things to see and do... or you can just sit in a sidewalk cafe, eat something sweet and sip coffee (or beer!). It's very fairly priced for the value received!

We had a wonderful day, one of the best on our 5 week Europe vacation. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us engaged. It was a good amount of time to see the city and it was great having a few hours to explore at our own pace. We fell in love with Salzburg and can't wait to go back!

The journey on the train took quite a while- I would have preferred travelling by coach. However it was beautiful in Salzburg! I enjoyed taking photos at the scene of the film 'The Sound of Music'. There were no clouds in the sky at all!
The gift shop Candela was also amazing, selling handpainted items such as glass bells, glass tealight holders and wooden eggs. It's DEFINITELY the place you'd want to be, especially pre- Christmas.
