Older adults had trouble with amount of walking. I would recommend taking both Salzburg tours as on this one there was not enough time to explore the town. I felt very rushed in Salzburg. However, the short time did allow additional time for a beautiful lake boat ride so I still would highly recommend this tour!!!

Everything was just amazing, lakes were beyond description, definitely that was one of the best tours I've ever made in my whole life. Thumbs up.

Salzburg was absolutely picturesque this time of year. I especially enjoyed the side trip to St. Wolfgang. The village is lovely, and I wish I could have spent more time there. The boat ride on the lake was a nice finishing touch to a perfect day!

Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Salzburg is a lovely place, and I would LOVE to go back there next time I'm in Munich. We went in November when it was a bit cold; I can only imagine what this area looks like in the spring and summer! I highly recommend this tour.

Out of the three trips we took, this ended up surprisingly being, by far, our favorite. We especially loved the Lake District tour. The area was beautiful and we were blessed with perfect weather to top it off.

Hertie's is a great meeting place because it's so central. I went on the trip with my fifteen year old son and it was fantastic! The coach was very comfortable and our guide was friendly and yet informative. Salzburg was a magical place and we had plenty of time there before moving on to Lake Wolgangsee. We managed to hire a little motor boat for half an hour while others waited for the ferry to cross the lake. Songs from the Sound of Music were playing in the background on the crossing and the sun shone, it was 28 degrees Celcius all day!
The return journey to Munich was a bit slow due to holiday traffic but we arrived back in good time to enjoy an evening meal in the city centre. Our guiude kept all 70 guests on the trip amused with her anecdotal stories and we learned loads about the German way of life, historical myths handed down through the ages. This was my first Viator trip and I was very impressed by the slick operation and friendly attitude of the whole day. Thank you. I would highly recommend this trip and am looking forward to booking another one soon. Superb value for money!
This was a very nice excursion with an excellent guide. We had a wonderful time. This was definitely worth doing.

An unforgettable experience. Our tour leader was very knowledgeable and gave very good commentary of the sites visited. Time was very well planned and reached culmination with the boat trip on the lake.

This is an excellent day trip from Munich. Salzburg was wall-to-wall with tourists, but is well worth a visit. The afternoon portion of the tour to the Austrian mountain lake district was a real highlight. This is excellent value for the money, as are all of Viator's trips in Munich. A great way to sightsee.

The group was smaller this time and it was better. Lake District was beautiful but Salzburg was below was expectations. Maybe we only had 3 hours there so there was not much time to do everything there.
