This was a very well organized excursion, but I think Salzburg needs more than two hours.

The best bit was certainly the trip across the lake.

The scenery was spectacular, though the guide was not very good - she was very impatient with everyone.

This is a definite must-do. We had a great time and the tour guide was informative and lively. Very worthwhile trip.

Salzburg and the entire area is beautiful and a must see! Our guide was pleasant enough, but not particularly knowledgeable other than what was in her "script." We could have used more time in Salzburg. I also don't think it was completely clear that the boat ride would cost extra and everyone would be required to take it because of the way it's set up. Although it was lovely, it took a lot of time that might have been better spent in Salzburg.

Lot of travel time and very little time for sight seeing.

It appeared the trip was overbooked, thus we were delayed waiting for an additional bus to arrive. This put us behind for over an hour. Upon arrival in Salzburg, we only had about an hour and a half to spend there. It was quite a long walk from where the bus let us out to where we arrived at Mozart Square. If walking is a problem for you, do not take this trip. Salzburg is very, very crowded. It was rush, rush, rush due to the limited amount of time so we saw very little. We were scheduled for a boat ride at a particular time across Lake Wolfgang. It was a nice ride, 30 minutes across the lake to St. Wolfgang. We had no more than half hour there. It would have been nice to have spent more time there. This trip may well be one that too much is planned for one day, thus the time in Salzburg and St. Wolfgang was just too short and not worth the time. Our guide wasn't the most pleasant woman, nice enough but a bit too bossy. She'd make a better prison matron.

This was advertised as a sightseeing tour, except the tour guide did not accompany the group once we got to Salzburg. We were handed a map and told to be back in 3 hours. She took off and met a friend for lunch.

We were on a good bus, but the weather was bad, and we were not given much information. It was pretty much a bus trip to the city with a drop-off. I would have liked more information.

Nice and pleasant experience, though you need to allow more time within Salzburg. Our tour guide was interesting.

I understood that I was paying for a tour of Salzburg. Instead, I was taken to Salzburg and had to make the tour by myself. I was really disappointed; I wanted a tour guide who would show me the place, but the guide just handled us a map, and we had to walk through Salzburg by ourselves. The only good thing was the punctuality of the departure from Munich; the bus departed at 8:30am sharp. I would have appreciated it if the tour operator had provided a guided tour, but since that company didn't, at least Viator should indicate that once in Salzburg travelers are invited to pay for a guided tour and that the tour operator only offers the transportation.

There was very little explanation from the guide and not enough free time for sightseeing on our own.
