Three Day Game Excursion at Okapuka Ranch

Your Three Day Game Excursion at Okapuka Ranch offers a typical game lodge experience just outside of Windhoek. You will have the opportunity to view an abundance of wildlife on the drives on offer, with opportunities to join optional additional game drives as well.

Only 18 miles (30 kilometers) outside of Windhoek, Okapuka Ranch offers a luxurious lounge and bar area overlook the vast expanse of the ranch with it's terrace extending towards the sunset. With seventeen thatch-roofed rooms nestled along the edges of the park the property blends with the colors of the bush and the fading day. Equipped with ensuite bathroom/ toilet, telephone, coffee making facilities, mini bar fridge and open terrace, the rooms' walls are adorned with paintings by the well renowned artist von Aschenborn.

During your two night stay, Okapuka Ranch offers a large variety of activities, including lion-feeding tours, game drives, horseback riding, mountain drives and hiking trails. The ranch also has a floodlit tennis court, swimming pool and sauna available for guests' use.

Schedule Details Departs: Daily Departure Point: Tour departs from Windhoek City hotels. Please wait in the hotel lobby. Departure Time: Between 8:00am and 9:00am Return details: Tour returns to original point of departure Hotel Pickup: Tour departs from centrally located Windhoek hotels. Please advise your hotel details at time of booking and call the supplier at least 24 hours prior to tour commencement to reconfirm your pickup location and departure time. If you list a hotel which the supplier does not service, they will advise you a meeting point to join the tour, when you call to reconfirm. Itinerary:

Day 1: Windhoek to Okapuka Ranch
You will be picked up from your hotel in Windhoek and transferred to Okapuka Ranch. Depending on your arrival time today, you have the opportunity to participate in an optional game drive.

Overnight Accommodation: Okapuka Ranch

Day 2: Okapuka Ranch
Today you will have the opportunity to participate in a game drive in the morning after breakfast. Returning to the lodge, you may wish to relax with a book beside the sparkling pool or alternatively join a walking trail. Later in the afternoon another game drive will be undertaken. The remainder of the evening is at leisure to allow you to mingle with the other guests or enjoy an optional dinner at the lodge. The ranch is known for its beautiful park-bush and mountain landscape, its superb restaurant, rustic wine cellar and abundance of wildlife. Optional activities include game drives, lion-feedings, hiking trails, horse back riding and helicopter flights (extra cost).

Day 3: Okapuka Ranch to Windhoek
After breakfast this morning, depending on your departure time, you will have the opportunity to join an optional game drive before returning to your hotel in Windhoek.
