The Diamond Coast area includes some of the most popular tourist destinations in Namibia. You will have time to explore Luderitz, a hazy Atlantic-coast town which has immense appeal for its barren beauty and solitude.
Many charming and fine buildings reveal its colonial history as the first German settlement in South West Africa. You may wish to visit the Luderitz Museum to explore the area's history, or try your hand at digging for sand roses - crystals of calcium sulphate and gypsum.
On day two you will visit the ghost town of Kolmanskop just outside of Luderitz. This town was established during the diamond rush in 1908 but was completely deserted after richer diamond fields were discovered elsewhere. The desert has now reclaimed the town and the scenic view of houses filled with sand, desolately standing along wind-swept streets is a photographer's delight.

Once you arrive at Luderitz Airport you will be picked up and transferred to the Nest Hotel. You will have the opportunity to explore this quaint town on foot in the afternoon. A lovely town with German architecture, plenty of atmosphere and good restaurants where you can sample fresh sea food. Luderitz is famous for having the best lobster in Namibia. Dinner will be at a restaurant in Luderitz or at the Nest Hotel.

Day 2: Luderitz
This morning you will be collected from the hotel and transferred to the ghost town on Kolmanskop. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of this unique town that the desert has now reclaimed! Learn about the fascinating life and inhabitants lead after having discovered diamonds in the area. Afterwards you will be transferred back to Luderitz where the reminder of the afternoon will be at leisure.

Day 3: Depart Luderitz
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight from Luderitz (flight not included in tour price).
