Our tour guide, Sofia was wonderful. Very informative, funny - delightful.
The van however was not delightful. The AC was not working and it was hot, I expected the van to be a little bit more plush.
I wish we had some input into which tastings we went to. I thought when I signed up for the tour that it was customizable, however nobody had any input on where we went. Although we did go to some nice wineries, there were others I would have preferred to go to.

Unfortunately this specific tour did not run on the date due to insufficient numbers. An alternative was provided to Muir Woods and Sonoma wineries which was very well conducted by the informative tour guide. The tasting at the last winery (of three) visited was rather rushed by the local staff. Many of the wines tasted were a bit one-dimensional and Californians should really take a few lessons in Port production from the Portuguese before labelling the contents of a bottle as "Port".

The tour was ok, but NOT customizable. If you are choosing it for that reaspon, call to ok your visits beforehand. Otherwise, the guide will deny your request in favor of preset (cheaper?) stops of his choice. The facility I really wanted to see was across the street from the one pushed on us.
Note from Viator:
Thank you for the feedback. The itinerary is not set in advance to allow the guide to tailor the tour to guest requests and tastes. Wineries may be visited that others have enjoyed in the past but we do not want guests to feel like they are "pushed" into a particulare winery. There may be a reason your request could not be accomodated such as availability. Many of the exclusive tasting rooms in Napa require advance appointments, and therefore we recommend that any guests with special requests add this to the comments in their reservation. At Viator, we strive to improve our guests' experience and will investigate this matter further.
Happy travels!

I was disappointed with our guides reaction when we wanted to go to Robert Mondavi. He told us it cost $40 for tasting and that they are not very nice there to tours. After persisting from 5 of us, especially after going to Rombauer, which we did not enjoy, he took us to Mondavi. Well, the tasting is $20 and they were fabulous as were the wines. I found the bigger wineries were not a option with our guide as the smaller wineries gave him some kind of kickback...like the free bottle of wine he collected at Cline. Lunch we bought at Dean and Deluca and ate in a school yard! So, overall we enjoyed maybe 50% of the day. Also, he seemed surprised when mentioned the ferry ride home and deterred us from doing so. I also didn't like the 20% or more gratuity is appreciated sign posted in the van.
