Russian River Kayak Tour
Meet your guide at Memorial Beach in Healdsburg, where you’ll get a brief safety orientation and launch onto the gentle currents of the Russian River. Paddle approximately 9 miles (14 km) down the scenic waterway that winds through the famed Sonoma County wine country while learning about the area’s history from your local guide. Admire the fertile landscape and be on the lookout for native birdlife such as blue herons and snowy egrets. Disembark at a riverside beach to enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch and take a refreshing swim in the river if you like. After finishing your tour at the historic Wholer Bridge, a driver will pick you up and return you to the original departure point.
Jenner Coast Kayak Tour
Your tour begins in the small town of Jenner, nestled along the rugged Pacific Coast. After a safety briefing, hop aboard your kayak and launch out into the mouth of the Russian River near where it empties into the ocean. Soak up the dramatic and diverse scenery of sandy beaches, cliffs and rolling hills. Kayak around beautiful Penny Island and look for harbor seals and other local wildlife of this unique ecosystem. Savor a picnic lunch complete with scenic coastal views before returning back to the launch point.
