As you paddle, spot local wildlife such as snowy egrets and blue herons, and enjoy the picturesque scenery and surrounding flora. The tour covers approximately 9 miles (14 km), and along the way, stop at a small riverside beach for a picnic lunch and a quick dip in the water. The kayak tour concludes at Wholer Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in the Russian River Valley, where a driver will drive you back to the original departure point.
Jenner Coast Kayak Tour
After a short instruction and safety talk in the small town of Jenner, on the Pacific coast, hop in the kayaks and begin the journey through the mouth of the Russian River. Be prepared to be greeted by beautiful surroundings – there are sandy beaches and cliffs on one side and rolling hills on the other. Stop for a picnic lunch at midday and enjoy the pristine view of the coast. Continue on to Penny Island, looking for local harbor seals along the way.
