What You Can Expect
Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the winery, including the medieval-style Tuscan castle, and then enjoy a wine tasting of varietals like pinot noir, sangiovese or award-winning chardonnay. (Note: This tasting ONLY is included.)
Next head to Cairdean Estate, a boutique family-owned winery, where you will sip your wine in the middle of a vineyard. Enjoy lunch catered by Oakville Grocery, a historic gourmet shop that dates back to 1881. Lunch items vary by day, but you can expect fresh dishes like salads and sandwiches made with farm-to-table ingredients, accompanied by soda and water.
After a delicious wine tasting and lunch, hop back on the trolley for winery number three: historic Beringer Vineyards. Here you will enjoy a progressive tasting and tour around the iconic Napa Valley facility. Stroll back through time as you walk through the beautiful grounds, learning about the winery’s past and present from a knowledgeable Beringer Vineyard's guide.
Your tour ends with the trolley ride back to Yountville.
We were picked up on time, our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Learned a lot and drank some fantastic wine.
The trolley tour was so much fun! Our driver/tour guide Gy was entertaining, knowledgeable and fun!! The castle tour and tasting was our favorite part and the food was delish! thank you for a great time!! cheers!
Very nice tour. James the driver was a very good host and a lot of fun. James provided a ton of information while driving. Castle was the highlight. Lunch was sandwiches and sides, and was very good. You don't have to pay for tasting at the Castle, but tasting at the next two wineries was 20-25, so be prepared
This was the best way to visit and learn about Napa. The castle tour was very good! Joe was our driver and was very informative and kept us entertained. While we had every intention of tipping him and did, toward the end of the tour his continual reminders were a turn off
Great tour guide and wonderful small wineries besides the castle made for a relaxing day. Lunch was great and I would highly recommend it.
The Trolley tour was wonderful except maybe they should cut it short to the castle and lunch. Wine tasting was more than sufficient at the castle and I think it was a bit short. The lunch provided was very tasteful and abundant. The rest of the tour was tiresome and redundant. No other wine tasting establishment could compare to the castle.
I loved the Trolley car and host. He was on time and very informative. He was really a great host and very courteous. I also loved the Castle tour and host Gary he was excellent and very generous with his time and tastings. I enjoyed the lunch very much and the nice patio area at Franciscan Estate. The tastings were okay and host not the greatest, but not bad. I really did not like the last stop at Provenance Vineyards Winery. I was expecting more since it was a small winery. The tastings were the worst off all barely 1 sip and did not like the wine. Could not order other wines. Very expensive for what you got at this winery. 20.00 per person and did not even get an equivalent of 1 glass of wine. I was also disappointed that Viator what you can expect included Cairdean Estate and Beringer Vineyards which we did not go to.
Initially had issues where the trolley passed us up at one of the pick-up points. However, was resolved by having a private car come pick us up to meet up with the trolley at stop 1. The castle tour was amazing with the tasting included in the price but would have liked to have known ahead of time the other wineries we were scheduled to stop at since we did not find the tasting prices to be worth their cost 20 at one and 25 at the other.
Would not use this tour again- the actual tour was only at the castle -the visits to the two other wineries were only accesses if we paid an extra 20.00 dollars -the tour would have done better to find a wineries available that allowed tastings for no charge -I felt cheated!
