What You Can Expect

Russian River Valley or Dry Creek Valley Wine Tour by Segway

Family touring Dry Creek Valley

Zippy Segways allow you to cover a lot of ground while enjoying fresh air and the flexibility of easy stopping. For this tour, take your choice of Dry Creek Valley or Russian River Valley — two of Sonoma’s most beautiful winemaking regions that lie a bit off the typical tourist path. Make your way to the charming town of Healdsburg, where you’ll meet your guide and receive a 20-minute Segway training to get comfortable on the self-balancing electric scooter.

Set off with your guide for a 2.5-hour tour along country roads that wind past rows of grapevines and rolling hills.

Dry Creek Valley Tour
With a distinct microclimate, Dry Creek Valley is best known for cabernet sauvignon, zinfandel and sauvignon blanc. Visit the smaller, boutique wineries of Ridge Vineyards, Mazzocco Winery and Quivira Vineyards, where you won’t have to worry about fighting the crowds or waiting for room at the tasting counter. Stop along the way for a snack and water break among the picturesque surroundings.

Russian River Valley Tour
Named for the scenic waterway that winds through it, the Russian River Valley produces excellent chardonnay and pinot noir. Stop for tastings and enjoy the lovely grounds at Rodney Strong Vineyards and J Vineyards, and end your tour at Foppiano Vineyards — Sonoma’s oldest working winery. Enjoy complimentary snacks midway through the tour, and pose for photos aboard your Segway with beautiful vineyards and hills as a backdrop. You will receive complimentary copies via email after the tour.

5 star rating: Highly Recommended September 2015

This was an amazing trip. I felt like i was flying thru the Tuscan region in Italy!! Michael our guide was a terrific Segway instructor and guide, and very knowledgeable about the area. The two family-owned wineries we went to were amazing and very delicious. 2.5 hours flew by.... needed to be a full day experience. I would definitely recommend it and hope to do it again.

3 star rating: Worth doing August 2013

This was the Russian River Valley Tour. Our guides, Jordan and Ben were great. The equipment was top notch. I think that because we had several VIP's from wineries, the time and emphasis was more on wine tasting at two winderies and less on riding the segways and enjoying the scenery. It was a beautiful day, the temp just right. I would have preferred less time in the winery and more time on the road.
