Capri itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, the guide was horrible. He provided us with absolutely no information when on the island. The entire time, we were left on our own, just to walk around and meet him back at a certain spot at a particular time. To make it worse, we were dropped off at a restaurant where they were catering a lunch to about a hundred tourists. They slopped the food on our plates. This was our only disappointment during our two week stay in Italy.

The island is lovely but the guide could have been better and more explanations given. We were asked to walk back to our hotel due to some problem.

The tour guide did not explain much about the island, only that it was found by the Greeks and there are 13,000 people living on the island. He left us to our own devices most of the time. He kept saying we paid for our own drinks with the meal which is not in my opinion correct. We paid for a meal including a cold drink on a hot day.

The guide was totally disinterested in our group. Capri was so crowded you could barely move, and we had to wait an hour for a bus to the next stop. If you like shopping it's good, if you don't then there was not enough time to sightsee. Lunch was dreadful.
