Great personalized tour. We went in Aug, it was hot but not too busy. The ease of pickup in from of Star Hotel Terminus was great. Worth the money to visit Pompeii for the day!

Wonderful trip! Great guide, entertaining, informative and fun. Pompeii is definitely worth a visit and Vesuvius was hard work but the view from the top was spectacular.

Our tour guide was extremely insightful and amiable. He was patient, informative, and fun to be around. We managed to get through all the traffic and crowds and had a great day. It was just the right combination of organized and efficient, and casual and relaxed.

The tour group picked us up at the ship right on time. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We are so happy we booked through Viator. Our family of 13 booked 5 tours through Viator while on our trip to Europe. I would highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you for a great time!

Our guide was extremely friendly and informative regarding the history of the local area. We were met by our guide on time outside the exit where our ship had docked. We travelled in an air-conditioned minibus. Lunch was great--nice pizza. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, as our as guide made it fun, and would recommend Viator to other travellers.

Our guide was marvelous. Vesuvius and Pompeii were places I had wanted to visit for many years. They were better than I had imagined. In Australia I was informed that as Vesuvius was not an extinct volcano some tour operators would not take the risk of going there!

Our train was 2 hours late and yet they still picked us up from the station. They were very kind. The tour was very interesting and the walk up Pompeii was unforgettable.

The beginning was a little rocky, some mis-communication to pick us up from the port but we made it. After that everything was good, one on one with you eager to please the tour was cool. I loved Pompeii and the lunch was really good. The driver was a really nice guy and the tour staff we love them alot if we go back again to Naples we are definitely doing this tour again and also it was bummer for Mt. Vesuvius because it was raining not the tour's fault.

Absolutely wonderful tour! There was a little confusion on where we would be picked up but we were helped by a very nice Italian man who called the company on his cell phone and straightened out the directions. There were only three of us in our tour and our guide was very informative in Pompeii. It would have been nice to spend more time in Pompeii but there is no way we could have navigated around Pompeii and seen all we did see in the time allotted if we had not had a guide. The lunch that we received was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was fabulous. The trip up to Vesuvius was only a short ride away but the walk to the top is strenuous to say the least! The pathway is all volcanic rock and straight up. I suggest renting a walking stick from the vendor there if you don't have your own, it will make the trek a little easier. All in all it was a very informative experience and I would recommend it to anyone who feel they are in good enough shape to hike straight up to the top of a volcano.

I had one day to kill in Naples and really wanted to go see Pompeii. I found Viator on the internet and booked a day trip with them. It was easy to do and they picked me up and dropped me off at my hotel. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius were excellent to see in real life, both are truly marvelous. The grasp of history and local knowledge that our guide had enhanced my experience greatly. I would highly recommend going to see both Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that you go with Viator. Thanks for a wonderful day!
This tour was a real winner: prompt pick-up, a small group, and a really informed and insightful guide whose knowledge of history was an added bonus. Other than being able to spend a little longer at Pompeii and perhaps being able to choose something other than pizza for lunch, there is nothing I would want to improve.

Everything went smoothly. They picked us up at our hotel right on time, Pompeii was fantastic and Mt. Vesuvius was awesome!! Loved the tour guide as well, he was informative and funny.
