We thought that taking a tour would be the best way of covering both highlights, and this was an excellent choice. We were met on time and from there on everything progressed as per your details. The Pompeii site was much better preserved than anticipated, and Vesuvius well worth the climb. This is our second time using Viator on this same trip, and it was fantastic both times. We are freelancing people, but there are times when assistance tour-wise is needed. We will be using you again soon.

This was a GREAT trip. We absolutely loved it! Pompeii was amazing. Our guide was excellent; he was knowledgable and very funny. His Italian accent was not too thick, but he did speak with his hands - a lot. Mt. Vesuvius was amazing as well. The hike to the summit took some time -- you have to be in some sort of shape to make the hike -- but the crater was wonderful and the view was breathtaking. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat.

This was very well worth it. Pompeii was extremely interesting. My mother even liked it a little better than Rome, which she also loved. Both my parents -- at 67 and nearly 72 -- made it to the top of Mt. Vesuvius, so they were pretty proud. It was nice being in a smaller group like this. The meal that was part of the tour was pretty mediocre; it would've been better if we found something on our own instead.

We called the day before to confirm. We were picked up right in front of our hotel and only had six on our Pompeii trip and four on our Vesuvius walk. The tour guide was smart and funny.

I took two of my teen-age grandchildren on this trip and they absolutely loved it. They were fascinated by the tales told by the guide and intrigued by the incredible remains that have been uncovered. They also liked the climb up Mt. Vesuvius. It was a great day!

The Pompeii portion should not be missed. The tour guide was very good and had a good sense of humor. There was pizza and wine for lunch at a fantastic little restaurant, and I loved it. The Mount Vesuvius portion was worth it, but was much weaker than the Pompeii portion. There was not much touring for that portion.

I have been a fan of volcanoes since I was a child, and to see one of the most active volcanoes so close and to actually walk around it and then see the destruction caused by it at Pompeii was a truly amazing experience.

Definitely the highlight of our trip to Italy! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable while being highly entertaining. And the pizza lunch was delicious! Everything was taken at your own pace, including climbing Mt. Vesuvius. I would recommend this trip to anyone travelling to Italy - it is a once in a lifetime experience!
