Excellent short trip. Guide was knowledgeable and kept our 7 year old interested around the site. Probably not a trip for those wishing to get a real in depth knowledge of the site as longer may be required, but totally met our requirements and expectations.

Really enjoyed this excusion. The tour group was much smaller than if we had gone with one from the cruise ship. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great time!

This tour was absolutely fabulous. Highly recommended. Our tour guide was very knowledageable and entertaining. We enjoyed "Andrew". He was just excellent from begining to end. He was prompt at the pick up point and encourage the group to know each other. He walked us through Pompeii and his explanatory ways and demeanor was simply well done. He added that extra piece of information or anologies to help guide the crowd. We really enjoyed him and the this excursion overall. THANKS ANDREW!! and thanks to Viator for making this an inmemorable excursion day. I high recommend this tour if you are cruising and want to do a short 1/2 day trip at 50% cost compared to the Cruise Sponsored Excursion. We had time left over to enjoy a Margarite Pizza (Naples is the birth place of the Pizza). Andrew arranged for the driver to drop us of at his favorite and recommended Pizza Restaurant.
these people go above and beyond, Picked me up from my hotel, took care of my luggage all day and delivered me to the port to board my cruise ship. Guide was very knowlegeable and imparted his knowledge with humour and passion. Great value for money!
The visit to Pompeii was a wonderful experience and the tour via viator made it possible. The guide Andre is exceptional. We had 6 other tours this vacation and as good as the other tour guides were, Andre was the best: very knowledgeable, funny, and made sure that any questions were answered.
Maria the coordinator was pleasant but not as professional as Andre. At the end of the day, she exit to her train stop before the guests were dropped off at their final destinations. We were left trying to explain to the driver where our destinations were, in a foreign language.
Overall, a wonderful excursion still.
Our Pompeii tour was fabulous! Andre was a wonderful tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and humorous. Pompeii has so much history -- it was destroyed in 79 A.D. when Mt. Vesuvius spewed volcanic ash over the entire City, burying it and its population. It's amazing that so much of the City has been excavated, and that tours such as yours are available for the public's education.
VIATOR was easy to contact (via phone); David was very helpful in arranging our tour. The mini-van was comfortable, and we traveled with a friendly group. I will use VIATOR in the future. Jo Ann Morton (Texas)
The trip to Pompeii was very good. We had to do some waiting around, as usual, but I would say the tour was eveything we expected. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke English well.
The tour of Pompeii was fantastic. Our guide had wonderful stories about the area to mix in with the facts. He made it entertaining as well as factual. Our group was small and we appreciated the use of the whisper audio system. Our only complaint was that we wanted more time there. We also had some rude people on the tour who insisted on not being at the meeting place on time which shortened the group's touring time.
The actual tour of Pompeii was spectacular. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour. My only criticism is that there was NO time built in to look at the vendors who lined the street before going in the gates. All in our group due to ride back to Naples wanted 15 minutes or so to see what was for sale and the driver said there was no time for it and we had to leave. We also were given 10 minutes to look into a cameo shop; while that was nice, it was much too short. Our "1/2 day tour" was really a bit less than 3 1/2 hours, as the driver had another group to meet at 2 p.m. and he didn't pick us up until 10:30 a.m.
Excellent service, guide good would do again
Pompeii Tour was fantastic! Guide Andrew was extremely knowledgable, personable, informative, and very funny. I was a bit concerned at the beginning as we were picked up 30 minutes late, but we were not rushed, and being in a small group of 14 made it very easy to hear and follow. Viator guide was better than Carnival!
We really enjoyed our trip to Pompeii with Viator. We where collected just outside our cruise ship and the group size was small - only 10 others. The guide was informative and good at answering the groups many questions. We also wanted to visit the archological museam in Napels and the driver dropped us of their after the trip at no charge. I would recommend this company to others. Rachael, Scotland
