It was awesome, met us at our cruise ship right on time.....we were late leaving but that was do to a couple not showing up and the guide trying to find them, so not his fault. Our guide and driver were great, enjoyed it very much....thanks so much

Our arrival date was changed while we were on the cruise and we were concerned we would be out the money we paid and not be able to participate in the excursion. Viator changed dates at last minute and we had an awesome tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Pompeii. Highly recommend.

Our guide took us to Pompeii and Sorrento. Both places were well beyond our expectations. Rafael was our driver and was always ready to pick us up on time and in the right spot. Andre our guide imparted so much information about everything we saw. Truly amazing! Highly recommend this tour through Viator!!

Had 2 tour guides. The man for the Pompeii part was so enthusiastic and charming!
This was another Viator tour that had the guide making you feel like the city came alive. You could just imagine a day in the life of a resident of Pompeii and how the awful tragedy in 79AD affected the people who lived there.
Sorrento was one of the big surprises for me. I fell in love with the old and quaint town. A perfectly romantic place. Our pick up location was a bit confusing. The port is big with a lot going on. Maybe a more defined area to meet the guide would help.

My husband and I were quite impressed with the excursion! The guide was amazing, the information and assistance was superb. Well worth the price (incidentally, carnival's equivalent excursion was reportedly inferior!).

We had a wonderful day in Naples! It would be helpful if the Viator representative would carry a sign identifying themselves as the port contact person. Andres, our guide in Pompeii was excellent - a wealth of information and funny anecdotes. Maria was delightful as well. Very personable and full of interesting tidbits about the Sorrento area. The lemoncello sampling was a nice touch (we did buy some, so I guess it worked!!) Lunch was good; however, it would have been nice to have the extra time in Sorrento and perhaps eat lunch there. The time in Sorrento seemed somewhat hurried; it's such a nice town, we would have enjoyed spending a bit more time there than at the restaurant in Pompeii. We would certainly recommend this tour to anyone cruising to Naples.

What an amazing trip! From the prompt worry free pickup at the port, to the friendly and knowledgable tour guides (Andres and Maria), to the delicious lunch in Pompei and limoncello sampling in Sorrento - an epic and affordable way to spend the day in Naples. When considering that other cruise folks paid three times the price to NCL for a much less enjoyable day, felt lucky to have spotted this option on viator!

Our tour was great. Unfortunately it was pouring on the day we went, but we still got to see Pompeii and our guide was awesome! He was funny, and very informative. We talked with people who went on the excursion through the cruise and they didn't get to see all the stuff we did.

Wonderful trip... especially Pompeii part of it. The guide in Pompeii was Andreas - the best guide we had - funny, knowledgeable and gave lot of info. However, the lunch was terrible. Sorrento portion of the trip was little hectic -guide (Maria) could talk less on the phone or to driver...

POMPEII WAS A GREAT TOUR - VERY INFORMATIVE and ENTERTAINING GUIDE !!
UNFORTUNATELY THERE WAS LITTLE TIME LEFT FOR SORRENTO, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FAR BETTER TO HAVE HAD LUNCH IN SORRENTO and MORE TIME FOR LOOKING AROUND THE TOWN ??? That whole coastine is absolutely stunning !!

Pompeii part is good, but not worth to go to Sorrento in Winter when so many shops are closed. I think Viator should simply remove the Sorrento option.

Pick up point was a little confusing but once we got started it was fine - guide for Pompeii was great - lunch was ok but it would have been better in Sorrento.

Totally disorganised. Groups not separated by colour or code, hence head count every 5 minutes with a different answer every time.A lot of time wasted while the crowds built up in Pompeii.Tour should start at Pompeii earlier (not 10:00a.m.)Forget lunch and spend more time in Sorrento

Very slow getting there. Took a 20-30 min tour of Naples in the bus before we left, which cut time out of Pompeii and Sorrento. Constantly waiting for others in the group and saw very little of Pompeii. Sorrento was a ghost town as the city shuts down from 1-4. Never did any alone/shopping time.

We were dissapointed with our tour from Viator. While the tour guide in Pompeii was good, it took too long to sort the different groups and get inside. We had to have lunch afterwards in a place that was chosen for us and given pizza or pasta with cheese on it which was not mentioned when I booked the tour and stay there for over an hour. This left us only 1 hour in Sorrento which also was not disclosed beforehand. Would not use them again.
