What an amazing tour! If you love history, seeing Pompeii is a real treat and having a knowledgeable tour guide is the only way to see it. Following the Pompeii site visit, the tour went to Sorrento where the views are not to be believed. Sadly though the tour did not make it down the Amalfi Coast because the road was closed for repairs after the landslide. Not the tours fault. They did not expect this. A shout out to Lucia (the Pompeii tour guide), Riccardo (the Sorrento visit bus driver), and Lucio (the Sorrento visit assistant) who went over and above their pay grade to make sure that everyone was happy and satisfied. Riccardo even serenaded us with Torna a Sorriento (Come Back to Sorrento). Despite the Amalfi Coast hiccup, I still would highly recommend this tour.
Besides the fact that Pompeii and the Amalfi coast was all and more than I expected the tour itself was wonderful. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and spoke English very well. The restaurant we were taken to couldn't have been better.
Our day trip tours were awesome ! The two guides that were provided were very friendly and knowledgeable ! The vehicles were nice and clean. The whole day was organized nicely. Would highly recommend this for a day...a really great combination !!
Wonderful day ... Pompeii - moving and interesting story. Amazing ruins.... Amalfi Coast was a beautiful and scenic afternoon experience!
Great tour very professional guide at Pompeii and full marks to Mario our guide to the Amalfi Coast
Great tour and would highly recommend to others. Driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off with the larger tour group downtown. Half day at Pompeii was sufficient to see all the major excavations. Lunch was wonderful with freshly prepared selections. The tour of the Amalfi Coast was spectacular. Tour guide and driver did a great job highlighting major venues with several stops along the way for some local sight seeing, shopping. Only glitch for us was that we booked late the previous day and the local tour company didn't have our reservation for the current day. So, we had to reschedule for the following day. If you decide to book day prior, just make sure you verbally confirm with the local tour company day of tour.
Fantastic day! amazing views second to none, will definateley be using viator again wherever i go!
Several "Pompeii and ..." tours were combined for the Pompeii portion, with the original bus guide also the Pompeii tour guide. We did not have to worry about finding a guide at Pompeii -- a great relief. For the Amalfi Coast portion, we had a very knowledgable guide. Because it was only a half-day tour, it was essentially a "highlights" view of the Coast which was great if you're planning on coming back another time, or just want to see what it's all about.
Our tour guides were wonderful. We were picked up at our designated hotel online (for Italians!) and after a short delay at another hotel, we were on our way. It appears that the workers were on strike at Pompeii (again) so we visited the coral museum first until the site was open. I had read that we had to buy our tickets separately, but is there a reason for this? We wasted another 1/2 hour waiting in line for tickets so instead of having a 2 hour tour, it was cut down to an hour. Our guide in Pompeii was wonderful but incredibly rushed since we had to get to lunch. Our Viator guides were great in informing us what was going on with the change of plans! Our tour of the Amalfi coast was wonderful also. We had a cloudy day but the sites were breathtaking anyway. Worth the price!
Brilliant, guide in Pompeii was good and knew his way around the ruins. The driver for the Amalfi coast was excellent. Scenery was spectacular and worth the the trip.
