Atlantis Aquaventure at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort
When you arrive at Atlantis Bahamas Resort on Paradise Island, unleash your inner kid upon 141 acres (57 hectares) of tropical waterscape -- including pools, water coasters, body slides and rivers. Ride swells of rapids and fly down slides, such as the high-speed twin Challenger from the Mayan Temple.
Take a Leap of Faith on a 60-foot (18-meter) drop and zip through an acrylic tunnel while submerged in a shark-filled lagoon. If you dare, try exhilarating rides with names like The Abyss, The Drop, The Falls or The Surge -- a roller coaster water slide with heart-stopping twists and turns.
If you have small children in tow, then head to Splashers Island for a Mayan-themed water playground featuring 3-foot (1-meter) pools with several slides, water cannons, water wheels, soaking fountains, and cargo nets with rope bridges to climb. Outside the Royal Towers you'll find Ripple's mini-water slides and flowing water fountains.
When you've had your fill of fun at the water park, head to the beach for a change of pace. Your full-day pass includes access to several pristine beaches at Atlantis Bahamas Resort, including complimentary lounge chair and towel. What a blast! I had such a great time doing the Aquaventure. The slides were fun, and although scary at first, I couldn't stop after the first time! The pools are relaxing and you can just relax and order drinks and food. Fun time and great for people of all ages!
