Even though we've visited Nassau every year for the last 15 years, this was still an enlightening experience. We really enjoyed the tour and our guide. Interesting places to visit downtown.
Was very informative. Food was very good Guide was great. Very enjoyable 4 hours strolling through the city
We were greeted by our guide Lexi, a proud Bahamian interested in sharing the food culture and history of the Bahamas at a beautiful church. We meandered through Nassau stopping at some really nice places dedicated to the food culture of the Bahamas. The food was delicious best pita bread I have ever had and the tour was very educational. If you enjoy food tours, this one should be on your list.
I highly recommend this tour. Murrey and Sarah were incredable. Both very knowlegable, interested in sharing thier slant on everything.Murrey talked for the whole three plus hours. The tour had six food stops and two cultural stops.(NEEDED TO BREAK UP THE FOOD STOTS). We tasted conch fritters, rice and peas, jerk chicken, fried plantains, conch chowder made with red curry and coconut milk(my favorite),both dark and white chocolates.Greek salad, and rum cake, andlocal beer and "Bushmans remedys"(teas). At each stop Murrey regaled us with history, anecdotes, and insight to ingredients and personal health implications. This is a tour not to be missed.
The tour was a highlight of the Bahamian cuisine with a flavor of the Bahamian culture, architecture and socio-political situation. Alanna was very sweet, knowledgeable and entertaining. We highly recommend this tour
Food was great, one "taste" was almost lunch-sized, guide was outstanding.
Our guide tour was really nice. Interesting. Totally recommended
The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Murray, was excellent explaining the foods in Nassau and the history. Would recommend this tour especially if you get Murray.
Alice is an excellent tour guide that took us on a walking tour to six different destinations where we were provided delicious food and an overview of various interesting facts about Nassau Bahamas.
This tour is a must for the person who just loves to taste different types of food and may be on Carnival Cruise line which has a short stay in the Bahamas. Don't worry you'll be able to have fun with other activities by about 3:00 p.m.
After the food tour, we decided to go to the Pirate Museum located just opposite to the start of this tour at Christ Church Cathedral. This is good place to learn about historical naval piracy from tour guides and various displays.
In summary, if you have been to Nassau Bahamas many times and wondering what should I do that is different and memorable, be pleasantly surprised with the food tour and Pirate Museum.
The tour was excellent !!! We abdolutely loved it. We had a wonderful guide ( Murphy). He was very knowledgable of the culture and foods of the area. I would highly recommend it as a way to be introduced to the Bahamas.
Excellent food and historical information. Great value and one of our best tours to date!
Our guide was really entertaining and informative. His stories about the history of the Bahamas were fascinating. And the food was delicious!
Unique Nassau tour offering an excellent introduction to the Bahama's history and culture, including a variety of typical culinary treats. Small group allowing the participants easy exchange of views.
Excellent tour - Tour guide (Clare) was exceptional - professional, friendly easy to converse with - made it a most enjoyable experience - we will definitely return to several of the locations on the tour - great way to show case Nassau's gems!!
Great food. Great history lesson. Great architecture of downtown Nassau. Loved that our tour guide Lexi was knowledgeable and combined all three components well! Each stop was uniquely different. Everyone in our group loved it!
This was an excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had a great time. I can't wait to go back to Nassau so we can go back to some of the places we visited.
There were 8 of us who took this tour and we had a wonderful time! Lexi was very knowledgable about Nassau and the food of the region. She was a fantastic tour guide! We learned a lot about the history, food, culture, and people of the Bahamas and all the while enjoyed the food and the places we visited. I hope to do another food tour like this through Viator in the next city we visit!
Murray was very nice, fun and knowledgeable. Would have recommended skipping the tea stop and gone somewhere more exciting. Overall great experience.
Its must do~~~ our tour guide was very good, food was good, local food of bahama
i was on my first ever "solo vacation" and decided to book this tour. Our tour guide/host was great and took us a on a wonderful tour of nassau food options as well as telling us about the town and the bahamas. i returned to 3 of our tour stops later in my trip. highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see a more local side of nassau!
This was an excellent combination of history of the Bahamas and great food. Our guide, Alanna native to the Bahamas, shared throughout the tour glimpses of the history and culture of Nassau. Her pride in the country came through giving us an appreciation for the culture. Highlights: Jerk chicken, conch chowder, conch fritters - Delicious!
This is a great tour. I participated in this tour the second to last day that I was in the Bahamas and I wish I would have done it one of the first days so I could go back and try additional foods at the restaurants. The places you visit on the tour are hidden gems - at least to the first time visitor. The food was awesome at all the places we visited. Our tour guide Alanna was very knowledgeable about the area, culture, food and restaurant owners.
I have been on quite a few cruises now, and have been on many excursions (both through the cruise company, and seperate). This is by far the best one yet. I really enjoyed the food (some of the best I have eaten) and was very impressed with the knowledge of our tour guide. I will recommend this tour to anyone going to Nassau.
