I always try to do walking food tours whenever I go some place new. Lexi was an excellent guide. At two of the restaurants - the owners where there. Lexi shared facts/history with us as we walked between stops. The food was great!
The tour was fun! Not too long and not too short. Really enjoyed the food. Lexie, our tour guide, was awesome! Very attentive and informative. Wouldn't recommend for kids under 8 or so, especially if they are picky eaters and easily bored. Highly recommended!
Alanna was wonderful, personable, knowledgeable and excited to be leading the tour. I was the most excited for this tour and it lived up to my expectations and then some. I thought each venue we went to was very welcoming to the group and there was such a variety of things to try. I would recommend this tour to anyone and it really kept me excited to continue to try the Bahamian fair after the tour was over. Alanna even recommened a bunch of places to eat and they were wonderful suggestions. It is well worth taking time out of a beach day to partake. -Meredith Boston, MA
This tour was fantastic! Our guide Lexie was great and was very informative. The food was the best. When we come back next year, I will be sure to eat at these places. Great job Lexie! The information and the history behind the food was great and educational. I am glad that we did this tour. It really provided the information and shine some light on this culture and this country.
Amazing!! Even though the weather was tough, our guides made our time very enjoyable. The food is delicious, and tour was remarkable! Thanks again!!
Alex was a fantastic tour guide with an obvious pride in her country. This tour was more than we ever expected and we would gladly repeat it on another stop in Nassau. The walking was limited and we were never far from the dock so never fear, you won't miss your return in time for sailing. The foods were delicious and the entire 3 hours was most educational.
We had a phenomenal time on this tour! Claire, our tour guide, was extremely informative and made it fun. The food was amazing, and offered a great variety. They were also accommodating, as we had someone who doesn't like seafood or alcohol. They had a different dish prepared for her when needed.
This tour was deliciously interesting and a highlight of our trip. Alanna and Rick were awesome, super informative and fun. We are definitely going back to some of the restaurants before we leave. You can expect to eat great, local cuisine, learn the history of the location and have fun w/the guides.
A historical, cultural and culinary treat all rolled into a great afternoon! And, a bit of exercise to boot! Highly recommended! ☆☆☆☆☆+
Even though we've visited Nassau every year for the last 15 years, this was still an enlightening experience. We really enjoyed the tour and our guide. Interesting places to visit downtown.
Was very informative. Food was very good Guide was great. Very enjoyable 4 hours strolling through the city
We were greeted by our guide Lexi, a proud Bahamian interested in sharing the food culture and history of the Bahamas at a beautiful church. We meandered through Nassau stopping at some really nice places dedicated to the food culture of the Bahamas. The food was delicious best pita bread I have ever had and the tour was very educational. If you enjoy food tours, this one should be on your list.
I highly recommend this tour. Murrey and Sarah were incredable. Both very knowlegable, interested in sharing thier slant on everything.Murrey talked for the whole three plus hours. The tour had six food stops and two cultural stops.(NEEDED TO BREAK UP THE FOOD STOTS). We tasted conch fritters, rice and peas, jerk chicken, fried plantains, conch chowder made with red curry and coconut milk(my favorite),both dark and white chocolates.Greek salad, and rum cake, andlocal beer and "Bushmans remedys"(teas). At each stop Murrey regaled us with history, anecdotes, and insight to ingredients and personal health implications. This is a tour not to be missed.
The tour was a highlight of the Bahamian cuisine with a flavor of the Bahamian culture, architecture and socio-political situation. Alanna was very sweet, knowledgeable and entertaining. We highly recommend this tour
Food was great, one "taste" was almost lunch-sized, guide was outstanding.
Our guide tour was really nice. Interesting. Totally recommended
The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Murray, was excellent explaining the foods in Nassau and the history. Would recommend this tour especially if you get Murray.
Alice is an excellent tour guide that took us on a walking tour to six different destinations where we were provided delicious food and an overview of various interesting facts about Nassau Bahamas.
This tour is a must for the person who just loves to taste different types of food and may be on Carnival Cruise line which has a short stay in the Bahamas. Don't worry you'll be able to have fun with other activities by about 3:00 p.m.
After the food tour, we decided to go to the Pirate Museum located just opposite to the start of this tour at Christ Church Cathedral. This is good place to learn about historical naval piracy from tour guides and various displays.
In summary, if you have been to Nassau Bahamas many times and wondering what should I do that is different and memorable, be pleasantly surprised with the food tour and Pirate Museum.
The tour was excellent !!! We abdolutely loved it. We had a wonderful guide ( Murphy). He was very knowledgable of the culture and foods of the area. I would highly recommend it as a way to be introduced to the Bahamas.
Excellent food and historical information. Great value and one of our best tours to date!
Our guide was really entertaining and informative. His stories about the history of the Bahamas were fascinating. And the food was delicious!
Unique Nassau tour offering an excellent introduction to the Bahama's history and culture, including a variety of typical culinary treats. Small group allowing the participants easy exchange of views.
