This tour was so full of good food and great history of the island. I loved this and would recommend as a first tour when you arrive to the Bahamas. Well worth it. Hit some great spots!
What a great tour. Lexie was an amazing tour guide - she is intelligent, fun and informative. I can't imagine better. The food was the right amount - eat a small breakfast! I have a seafood allergy and expected to sit those stations out - not a problem for me. However, the two venues that had seafood had an alternative for me! A nice surprise. The walking was steady - there were lots of stairs but I think you should expect this on a walking tour. The venues were very friendly. I'd like more history and landmarks - but all-in-all it was lots to fit in to this 3-hour tour. I recommend it highly.
This is a must if visiting Nassau. This is a great opportunity to taste the different types of food and get familiar with the area. I recommend taking the water taxi if staying on Paradise Island and to take this tour early in your stay. Nick was just amazing. He was very personable and informative. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and your sense of adventure.
Great walking tour of Nassau that included a taste of local dishes at number of local venues. Our guide Lexi was very knowledgeable about local history. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour was amazing. The food along the way was delicious and our guide, Lexi, was excellent. I also learned so much about the history of the Bahamas.
It was a great tour! The food was wonderful and our guide Nick was very informative and personable. He said he'd only been doing it a few weeks, but he really knew his stuff and did great. I know the rest of my group felt the same way. It was something different and a way to see a little more of Nassau than we would have likely done on our own. Thanks!
This was a great tour. We got to learn a lot of history of Nassau in addition to trying some local food. We did walk more than expected and a lot of it was uphill.
This tour was so awesome. It really gives you local options for dining if you are staying in the area. Lexi, our guide, was very knowledgeable of the history of Nassau. Definitely recommended.
One of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and approachable! We learned so much! Thank you!
I always try to do walking food tours whenever I go some place new. Lexi was an excellent guide. At two of the restaurants - the owners where there. Lexi shared facts/history with us as we walked between stops. The food was great!
The tour was fun! Not too long and not too short. Really enjoyed the food. Lexie, our tour guide, was awesome! Very attentive and informative. Wouldn't recommend for kids under 8 or so, especially if they are picky eaters and easily bored. Highly recommended!
Alanna was wonderful, personable, knowledgeable and excited to be leading the tour. I was the most excited for this tour and it lived up to my expectations and then some. I thought each venue we went to was very welcoming to the group and there was such a variety of things to try. I would recommend this tour to anyone and it really kept me excited to continue to try the Bahamian fair after the tour was over. Alanna even recommened a bunch of places to eat and they were wonderful suggestions. It is well worth taking time out of a beach day to partake. -Meredith Boston, MA
This tour was fantastic! Our guide Lexie was great and was very informative. The food was the best. When we come back next year, I will be sure to eat at these places. Great job Lexie! The information and the history behind the food was great and educational. I am glad that we did this tour. It really provided the information and shine some light on this culture and this country.
Amazing!! Even though the weather was tough, our guides made our time very enjoyable. The food is delicious, and tour was remarkable! Thanks again!!
Alex was a fantastic tour guide with an obvious pride in her country. This tour was more than we ever expected and we would gladly repeat it on another stop in Nassau. The walking was limited and we were never far from the dock so never fear, you won't miss your return in time for sailing. The foods were delicious and the entire 3 hours was most educational.
We had a phenomenal time on this tour! Claire, our tour guide, was extremely informative and made it fun. The food was amazing, and offered a great variety. They were also accommodating, as we had someone who doesn't like seafood or alcohol. They had a different dish prepared for her when needed.
This tour was deliciously interesting and a highlight of our trip. Alanna and Rick were awesome, super informative and fun. We are definitely going back to some of the restaurants before we leave. You can expect to eat great, local cuisine, learn the history of the location and have fun w/the guides.
A historical, cultural and culinary treat all rolled into a great afternoon! And, a bit of exercise to boot! Highly recommended! ☆☆☆☆☆+
Even though we've visited Nassau every year for the last 15 years, this was still an enlightening experience. We really enjoyed the tour and our guide. Interesting places to visit downtown.
Was very informative. Food was very good Guide was great. Very enjoyable 4 hours strolling through the city
We were greeted by our guide Lexi, a proud Bahamian interested in sharing the food culture and history of the Bahamas at a beautiful church. We meandered through Nassau stopping at some really nice places dedicated to the food culture of the Bahamas. The food was delicious best pita bread I have ever had and the tour was very educational. If you enjoy food tours, this one should be on your list.
I highly recommend this tour. Murrey and Sarah were incredable. Both very knowlegable, interested in sharing thier slant on everything.Murrey talked for the whole three plus hours. The tour had six food stops and two cultural stops.(NEEDED TO BREAK UP THE FOOD STOTS). We tasted conch fritters, rice and peas, jerk chicken, fried plantains, conch chowder made with red curry and coconut milk(my favorite),both dark and white chocolates.Greek salad, and rum cake, andlocal beer and "Bushmans remedys"(teas). At each stop Murrey regaled us with history, anecdotes, and insight to ingredients and personal health implications. This is a tour not to be missed.
