Murray was very nice, fun and knowledgeable. Would have recommended skipping the tea stop and gone somewhere more exciting. Overall great experience.
Its must do~~~ our tour guide was very good, food was good, local food of bahama
i was on my first ever "solo vacation" and decided to book this tour. Our tour guide/host was great and took us a on a wonderful tour of nassau food options as well as telling us about the town and the bahamas. i returned to 3 of our tour stops later in my trip. highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see a more local side of nassau!
This was an excellent combination of history of the Bahamas and great food. Our guide, Alanna native to the Bahamas, shared throughout the tour glimpses of the history and culture of Nassau. Her pride in the country came through giving us an appreciation for the culture. Highlights: Jerk chicken, conch chowder, conch fritters - Delicious!
This is a great tour. I participated in this tour the second to last day that I was in the Bahamas and I wish I would have done it one of the first days so I could go back and try additional foods at the restaurants. The places you visit on the tour are hidden gems - at least to the first time visitor. The food was awesome at all the places we visited. Our tour guide Alanna was very knowledgeable about the area, culture, food and restaurant owners.
I have been on quite a few cruises now, and have been on many excursions (both through the cruise company, and seperate). This is by far the best one yet. I really enjoyed the food (some of the best I have eaten) and was very impressed with the knowledge of our tour guide. I will recommend this tour to anyone going to Nassau.
Amazing! Alana was so informative and engaging. The restaurants on the the tour are great and the food is incredible. If you are looking for a hint of culture and great food this tour is the way to go.
Our food tour was one of the best parts of our vacation!! We went back to two of the restaurants that we visited on the tour for lunch later in the week. I recommend going on the tour early in your vacation so you will know the good local places to eat.
I have to agree with all the positive reviews of this tour -- it was amazing. Alanna greeted each participant by name and interacted with everyone throughout the entire tour. She was very engaging, knowledgeable and fun! We got an insider's view of not only the food, but also the history, architecture, and diverse culture of the Bahamas. This is definitely money and time well spent.
This was an excellent tour! The food was outstanding. Our guide was wonderful. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Nassau. It was very much a taste of Nassau and its culture.
I was really intrigued by this tour when I found it. My husband and I are always interested in the history of the places we visit. But to also learn the local cuisine at the same time sounded wonderful. I mean who doesn't like to eat! Alanna our tour guide is as beautiful and charming as she is knowledgeable about the islands she lives on. She has a real love for her culture and wants to share it with the world. She left no question unanswered. We learned so much and had a fantastic time. We got try food that we may not have gotten the chance to, had it not been for this tour. We both voted this as our favorite part of our trip.
The tour offers a great cultural opportunity to help visitors gain an understanding of the history of The Bahamas as a true melting pot of the dishes of all of the varied peoples who have chosen to settle there. Alanna has an obvious affinity for both her homeland and its visitors; and you will see her multitude of local connections as you progress through the tour.
This was a wonderful tour to learn about the history and culture of Nassau, as well as taste the different foods. We went to a variety of restaurants that were well known by the locals, but could easily be missed by tourists. In addition, Alana, our tour guide, was excellent, answering our various questions along the way. We highly recommend it for those that like to eat and learn....
