My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip down the river! Our guide, "Shrek", was very personable, knowledgeable, and skillful. The water was a bit low so no real rapids but we moved along nicely through what I would call a real rain forest. Very relaxing and entertaining!

This trip was awesome - the water is cool and fresh, they take you through a part of the jungle where you step into a smaller river and take you to a waterfall, and the guides are really funny. It downpoured that day and it was STILL our favorite excursion on our trip! :]
This is a must do. The scenery and the tranquility of the river are very enjoyable. Our tour guide was very funny and engaging. He made the trip for group memorable. I would do this again!
The tubing trip on the Great River was fantastic! It was through Chuka Tours from Negril. About a 2 hour bus ride, but the scenery inland was beautiful so worth the time. The tubing itself was great. We got on the tubes which were tied together in 8s. Our guide, JR, was so cool. He gave us a great account of the history of Jamaica and the immediate area as we floated down the river, even trying to teach us a bit of the Jamaican Patois language. There was great banter between our tube barge and another one lead by Shrek. Mostly the river was calm, then you would encounter some mild rapids and were told to "raise your butt" lest you have bruises the next day. At the end of the floating we climbed into Safari trucks for the ride back to where we started. The ride was hysterical if you don't mind bouncing out of your seat the entire ride. We were laughing so hard. The facility where the tour starts and ends is nice - food, lockers for your stuff, gift shop, and clean restrooms. Tip your guide because they deserve it! I would go again in a heart beat!!
What an amazing trip! Our guide, Delroy was great (and very entertaining). I would recommend that any visitors to Jamaica make sure to include this trip in your vacation plans!
The tour guides definitely make the trip enjoyable. They are very animated and fun! The tree swing is also a nice addition. We could have spent an entire day on this adventure! It's an adventure that can be enjoyed by all ages!
Very relaxing and had great time. The guides and pictures were 1st class. I was hoping for more rapids, but still enjoyable. Would also like to see a trip combining the raft tour and zip line, since both go to the same place which is not evident in the writeup.
I was expecting more adventure, it was a bit tame for my liking, but still it was beautiful and the scenery was breath-taking!

Our first day in Jamaica, it was a very nice mellow way to acclimate. The rain prior to the trip was very heavy, but we still really enjoyed our outing.
The trip was very enjoyable. Guides are extremely entertaining and informative. They pull groups of tubes down the river in a kayak so not much effort is needed. Relaxing with some fun.
The guide was great - made the trip. Vine swinging a favorite of the family!

Went on this tour in late April. Not the rainy season so the river was down. Down so much in fact that the guides needed to pull you down the river in many area's where water level is low. They keep the tubing fun and overall it was a nice ride down the river. They said when the water is high it only takes 15 min to ride the river. It took us almost an hour with the water so low, no real flow I.E. need to be pulled by guides.
