A great way to spend an evening, especially if you are traveling alone. Our guide was very educational, fun and the perfect host. Dinner companions were pleasant. Great food and entertainment.
My brother and I took this tour on our first evening in New Orleans. It is a very good introduction to both the nightlife and to the city itself. The dinner at Tujague's was superb. We had a really good time at the jazz performance that we were taken to and the beignets were fantastic. Our guide was very informative and pointed out many interesting facts about the city as we went along. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans, especially on their first night.
This tour was great for myself having never been to the city and needing guidance in what to see. However, the entire tour could very easily be experienced on your own. For what it was it was good, especially since the guide provides insight into the city that you wouldn't have received otherwise.
Had a great night out and learnt so much in a short time about New Orleans. Our tour guide was an elderly woman who knew the town like the back of her hand.We had a ball.
The guide was amazing--he told us lots of stories about the city, the landmarks, and answered questions. We had a great dinner, individual choice of entree--I chose chicken which was delicate and delicious--and the jazz was also fun. We sat up front, so you hear and see it all. Cafe Du Monde is also not to be missed! It was cozy and fun--perfect for couples or people alone like I was. You feel welcome, as though you are in a mini-family!
A pleasant night out, the food was quite good, and the jazz good quality old-style jazz - which I much prefer. For me, it was a little bit sedate, but I think it's well suited to an older crowd, who's looking for a relaxing dinner and meeting some new people, a drink with a bit of jazz sitting at a table, and some coffee and binets afterwards. Definitely recommended, but for a younger person I'd put the Southern Comfort cocktail tour first on the list.
The diner was good. The guide was too old and we walked only with 3 persons, not a group like we thought it would be. We saw bourbon street and had a drink with live jazz music, but it was very short. We don't recommend this tour. You can go on your own to bourbon street. It's easely to do.
