Our tour guide was fantastic. She was so knowledgeable and made the tour most enjoyable.
A second visit inside a home would have been good, as we only went into one, but we learned a lot about the styles and types of architecture used in many buildings.
The architecture and history as well as local pop culture references made for an interesting and varied tour. Our guide, as a New Orleans native, was knowledgeable and the opportunity to see the Garden District and the Cemetery with that depth of knowledge as our guide was a great resource. Educational and entertaining. I recommend that you call ahead to make sure the procedure for check in is followed as we walked from our hotel on Royal to the ticket book by the Cafe du Monde and then over to the lighthouse check in where the van was waiting. The trains and trolleys have an impact on when the vans can get through that area so be as considerate as you can with an early arrival about 20 minutes before tour departure.
The Guide, Carol was well informed about the Garden District and could answer any question. Well worth the tour instead of taking the street car down Charles street. The tour takes you off of the main street and you walk the neighborhood. Saw some celebrity homes and also toured the the biggest home in the area= 22,000 SF.
Tour also takes in a cemetery which you learn about burial customs.
It is a must to get out of the French quarter and learn the history of how it all got started. Carol was great and even though it was freezing, we had fun. Cemetary was amazing!
Carole was a fabulous tour host and her knowledge of the history of the area is amazing, great tour

I have been to New Orleans many times over the last 30yrs. This was my first time to take the Garden tour I'm glad we did !! Love the history and the beautiful homes.....
The all day tour was great as we started out with the airboat ride seeing some alligators and small ones also. Gary our guide told us about the swamp and trees and was very interesting and impressed. We then went onto the plantation homes and the workers homes and how they lived back then. The plantation home was beautiful inside and out and when they were built and amazingly how they were built back then. We then had a wonderful lunch of Cajun food. We finished up with the last plantation home which was beautiful inside and out
Loved every minute of it. Our guide was full all kinds of incite, personal stories, and getting to go inside one of the mansions was the best!
Excellent walking tour. Great for a history lover!!!! Highly recommend .
Marcia was our guide and she was fantastic!! The tour was interesting and we saw many beautiful and historical mansions. Marcia was well informed and told us many interesting stories of the residents of this neighborhood. We were also able to go inside of one of the houses which was a huge plus and other tours did not have this luxury !
Marcia was our tour guide and was fabulous!! She had loads of information to share..you could tell the love she had for her city and her job.
Our guide was terrific and had lots of interesting, inside facts about living in the Garden District. Would definitely recommend this guide as a wonderful experience!
This was one of my favorite things I did while in NO. The tour itself was amazing, my guide, Marsha was very informative!!! The views , homes, gardens with the smell of jasmine and magnolias made for the perfect day!! The bonus was being able to step foot in the Women's guild, Opera house. So incredibly glad I picked this tour.
Tour was great and our guide was excellent. There were four people in our group and we all agreed this was the only way to get the feel of New Orleans. Good idea to take notes on these tours, so you can refer back when viewing your pictures. Viator has never let us down.
Our tour guide Libby Bollino was very informative and energetic. She pointed out details that we might have missed. She showed a variety of styles of architecture and provided interesting historical information. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Very informative and fun. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor.
Very interesting tour where our guide showed us the old and beautiful buildings of the garden district and told us their history and also he pointed out some homes of the stars. He also gave us a lot of information about the history of this particular part of the city.
A very interesting walking tour. We learned a lot about the history and architecture . Things you don't pick up from a book. The Garden District is a must see. There was just the two of us on a rainy morning, but the tour continued anyway and the tourguide was eager to show us all the splendour of this neighbourhood. The sun came through after some time and we were really glad we booked this tour. When you're gonna be in New Orleans you shouldn't miss out on this wonderful tour. Good value for money.
Carol was my tour guide and she was authentic and was a wealth of knowledge. I try enjoyed my stay in the Big Easy and my unforgettable walking your in the charming garden district.
