Fantastic night great company would recommend anyone to go on this excursion if in New orleans fantastic value for money.
I thinks our tour guides name was either Julie or Judy. Either way she was very good and we leaned a lot about New Orleans history besides hearing some good jazz.
The tour takes you to some of the best jazz places on Bourbon Street. You hear Dixeland jazz as well as the good New Orleans blues jazz. We also went to and outside club that played both.
Jazz was fun, expected to go to a few more places, but we had a small group.
A must to do and ask for John he was great and so much to tell us about New Orleans we had a wonderful time the music is wonderful.
This tour was OK. It was nice to see and to hear. Though Burbon street is very touristic. I prefer the clubs on Frenchmen street.
Very good if you like jazz. Would have liked to go to more places that locals go, like Frenchman St. Also, the guide didn't really tell us much about jazz or the history of music in New Orleans.
The first stop is okay, soft jazz, the second stop is the real jazz that I think of for New Orleans.
Very nice tour guide! Informative and knowledgeable. A bit too expensive. Recommend to take first night. We went 2nd and had already been to one of the two places that this tour includes. Can't miss the place either, open garden with music right in the center of Bourbon st.. I wish we could have visited more hide away- good music- places than the obvious touristic ones. Also most of the time was used to listen to music, which is great to do on your own, wished for a little more information about the history of jazz and NOLA.
The club we were taken to was fun, if short. We had expected to go to another but were just taken to the door. We were told of the history of jazz in NO and that was good.
I was very excited to go on this tour as I wanted to see some jazz in New Orleans but I was on my own and didn't want to go into clubs on my own. The first bit of the tour was okay but when we got to the first venue we were upstairs away from the stage and the person doing the tour (sorry forgotten her name) talked through the whole of the set about another tour she does. The second venue was better as it was more intimate and it wasn't possible for her to talk through it!
So so. We should have done this on our own. Then we wouldn't have felt rushed and we could have saved a boatload of money. We went to a couple of places to hear music - The guide was very interested in telling us about her own personal tour company just before she left us for the night.
