We found the tour very informative. Bought the week pass (if you wait to purchase it in NOLA, it is only 3 days for the same price), and we used the bus as transportation as well as the tour and it worked great. There was only one disappointment, and that was the fact that the buses DO NOT stop at the #1 stop listed Jackson Brewery. That was the one closest to us, and one of our group couldn't walk long distances so it was an inconvenience--it would have been great if they stopped where they advertised. I know many of the reviews said the buses were more than 30 minutes apart, but we were there in Octobers, and did not find that the case. As matter of fact, some of them were very early, and we watched them go by on our way to the stop!
New Orleans is a beautiful old city. The tour touched upon the ambiance of the French Quarter and the guides were very well versed in their presentation. We took that tour to get acquainted with New Orleans and went to the WW II museum. The entire trip was an excellent experience, and we came away with a greater appreciation for the old town and its residents. This was a thumbs up experience everyone should enjoy who has never been there, but wants to see a lot in a short amount of time.
HAD GREAT WEATHER AND GREAT FOOD. EMBASSY SUITES ON JULIA OUTSTANDING.
An absolute "must" for anyone who wants to tour the city! Onboard guides were all top-notch, very knowledgeable and each with different stories and anecdotes about the city and its history. Best deal of our trip!!
I bought the 1 week because it was only ten more then the one day pass. It also included 3 free tours.
They do not sell the 1 week when you get there. They only have 3 days for the same dollar amount without tours.
I week pass bought off of Viator includes these tours; Walking French Quarter Tour, Walking Garden District Tour, and STL Cementary Tour.
Saved almost a hundred just by paying the extra $10 for the one week pass.
Tour guides were great.
loved the experience , the tour guides were very informative have already recommended it to several people
Our first tour guide was Randy, he has been the best tour guide ever. Thank you Randy for making us aware of the real Mardi Gras meaning, it was our first visit to New Orleans we plan to visit again and hope to see you again. God bless
Was worth paying the little extra for the 2 day pass, would highly recommend to anyone visiting N.O.
Bob, the tour leader on the bus was very informative. Enjoyed the commentary
pick ups were so easy, waits not long at all and if missed one another came before too long. great!
only wished hours were later than 5:30pm. that time came so quickly.
We went on the bus two seperate days - the tour guides were all very good - especially Dedra who took us on both walking tours - great job!!!
Loved the convenience, the price was great, the narrator fun and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour.
We purchased a 5-day pass as it wasn't that much more money and we thought we'd use the bus as an alternate source of transportation. I must say we had 3 different guides during our trip who were all very knowledgeable and good, but on Saturday we started the day with Randy. He was fantastic! I think it was terrific to have the 3 different point of views telling us the history of the city. I would recommend you taking this tour on multiple days if you have the chance. The city is pretty cool and we loved our tours! We have used Viator in 3 different cities now and it does not disappoint. The hop on/ hop off buses are THE best way to see a city. Best tip of the day - if you purchase a 5-day pass and have a smart phone... take a photo of your receipt that they give you at the bus stop. Drivers are allowed to use this as proof of purchase and you don't have to worry about losing your receipt slip during your stay.
