Our tour was led by Joseph, who is an amazing person and as a New Orleans native, the perfect person to introduce us to some of the rich history this city has to offer. He was able to include personal anecdotes along with the historical background to the places that had, amongst them, been the birthplace of the cocktail and other well known drinks including the sazerac. A fun AND informative walking tour that flew by!
Such a fun and informative afternoon. Our tour guide Sandy was awesome. True Southern lady, we loved it and he places we visited. Highly recommend!
I have been to New Orleans dozens of times, but this was the first time we did an organized tour. It was GREAT! I think a tour guide makes or breaks your tour. Sandy was our guide and she was so much fun. We actually ran over on time because our group was just hanging out having to much fun. I will do this tour each time I visit in the future.
Joe was wonderful. His grandfather invented the PoBoy bread. He was warm, interesting, funny, engaging, and the tour was a very big success. We did not drink much, but the idea was to learn about the history surrounding the drinks and the bars, and not necessarily to get drunk. Highly recommended with Joe.
this tour was a lot of fun, interesting history thrown in and a great Guide, Joe.
My wife and I were in New Orleans for a convention and booked this tour for the afternoon of our first full day here. It was a fun and very interesting activity. Our tour guide, Brian, was exceptional. He knows a great deal about the history of New Orleans, cocktails, and the best bar tenders in the French Quarter. His stories were fun and brought to life the characters of which he spoke. He put all members of our group at ease and we had a very pleasant time. The pacing of the bar visits was excellent (5 stops in just over 2 hours) and puts one in the perfect mood for a great dinner of fine New Orleans food after the tour. This is one fun way to spend an afternoon in the French Quarter!
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed this historical tour. We visited many bars and restaurants in the heart of the French Quarter. Our tour guide Joe Gendosa was fabulous, very articulate and a wonderful story teller. We left tour with much more information and understanding of the French Quarter, and all its beautiful past history!
Tour was great and tour guide Ms. Sandy was perfect. Really knows her stuff and got us some good happy hour deals.
It was great fun and informative. Sandy was our guide and she was the best!
