The guide was excellent! He was born in New Orleans and knew a great deal about the area. I am glad we took the tour since we had no idea the extent of the damage. It was a real eye opener! The only complaint was the transportation, it was to crowded. It was a van that accommodated 11 people. That is if you were all 125 lbs. or less. Very uncomfortable!

This is not a regular city tour. It is a bus tour through the areas devastated by Katrina. The tour guide was very informative. Try to sit by the window if you can. We only got off the van to use the restroom.

The tour was very informative and well worth the time and money. The only thing that could have made it better is by spending 15-20 minutes looking at more city sites that weren't affected by the hurricane, instead of going through so many neighborhoods seeing similar destruction in them all.

It was very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Did feel there were times of editorializing in the presentation. Certainly this could be an indication of the overall frustration of the people of the area. Would recommend the tour to anyone.

The tour was very informative. We covered all the places that were worst hit and the guide was knowledgeable. We had a pretty large group, 11-12 people in a very small van. If you sat in the middle, you had a hard time seeing out the window even more important since the tour had no stops.

To grasp the true impact of the damage that was done, you have to see it up close and not on TV. Our guide was a resident who gave personal accounts of the experience and a good perspective of the current conditions and the political realities of the recovery.

I don't believe you can fully comprehend the extent of this disaster without seeing it for yourself. I was overwhelmed by the shear extent, and by how much hasn't been done 18 months later. This was depressing, sobering, overwhelming.

Very good overview of the effects of Katrina. A few more stops to spend some time looking around would have been nice.

Tour given by local which was very important. Everything went smoothly.

Very informative, the guide was great and cracked every one up. I would say, yes do this if you are adults and have no little ones in tow. The only draw back are the messed up roads, so be prepared to perhaps have a sore back side for a few days. Or bring a pillow from the hotel to sit on. Take the time on this one. To see it on TV, or photos doesn't do this terrible event justice. Maybe two restroom breaks, to stretch etc. might be a good idea also.

I would definitely recommend Viator as a service. Wish there was more information on the specifics of the tour. It was very good, but billed as a city tour, when really it was only a Katrina-affected area tour. We wanted to see the Katrina impact definitely, but also thought we'd see other parts of the city.

Enjoyed the tour, but it was very difficult to take pictures.

This is a great way to see the devastated neighborhoods. Our guide was a New Orleans native and he helped us see New Orleans from a much different perspective than in the media. He was excellent. I think it was a 15 passenger van - with 15 adults it was a tight fit. If you are claustrophobic (like me), sit in the front seat or on the end of the first two rows.

Too long and repetitive. Overpriced for the value.
