We decided to take the cruise as part of our New Orleans experience. A Steamboat trip on the Mississippi seemed to be a 'must do'. The boat is licensed to carry over 1000 passengers and on our trip it was probably a quarter full, meaning that we had plenty of opportunity to move around and see the view from all sides. To be honest , the port of New Orleans and the route taken is fairly industrial, so the scenery was mostly factories, ships and refineries. The commentary was live and informative at the beginning but tailed off in the second half of the cruise, mainly due to lack of anything worth comment. There was a live jazz band on board but they were inside the dining room. As it was a lovely day, we preferred to be outside so could not comment on the music. It might be worth thinking about having the band outside during the sunny summer days.

This was fun and relaxing - and the captain provided a lot of interesting information! I would definitely recommend.

Lovely cruise but the lack of Jazz music as advertised was disappointing.

My wife and I enjoyed our four day stay in New Orleans while celebrating our 25th wedding aniversery. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Convention Center. Great vacation!!! We will certainly share our experiences with friends and family. The only down side was that everything was soooooo expensive. Would like to come back one day if we can afford it.
