The tour was fantastic! The bus ride out was great and I really liked hearing the history of the City. The swamp tour guide Captain Lou was very knowledgeable and easy going. He made every effort to point out different sights and animals. Ken the bus driver for the return trip was great. He made me smile and get involved in the conversation. His knowledge about the local places to eat was very helpful. Would recommend this tour to others for sure.
Wonderful tour!! Of course, it was our Captain Lou who made this tour both fun and a nature-beautiful experience. Lou was born in the swamps and had the bayou accent to prove it! He was the real deal - and his slow-moving and wonderfully narrated tour gave us many alligator sightings. And Captain Lou made sure to get the alligators right up to the boat - so they could receive lunch and we got tons of great pictures. There were only 9 of us on the boat and I would highly recommend this tour!!
This event made my Vacation worth while!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome Guide, after 18 years of marriage I have finally found something my husband is afraid of. confined spaces with an alligator A must SEE
We really enjoyed our tour, such a beautiful place. A very well run professional company, we were collected by air conditioned bus and driven to swamp... Our tour guide was a native of the area, with lots of great stories to tell. We got to see lots of alligators, which was the highlight..
Fantastic. Especially our Cajun guide Little Lou. Would recommend highly.
Great fun! Relaxing, beautiful and much quieter than airboats.I highly recommend this.
We had a great tour guide who provided us an excellent experience. There were a lot of gators around and the scenery was just wonderful.
Had a great time with out captain Louie! No one knows the swamp better than him. Not only saw a ton of gators but got to take in the beautiful landscape and history of the bayou. Highly recommend!
This was absolutely the highlight of our trip to New Orleans! The 45 bus ride to the bayou was great because the wonderful bus driver who's name I can't remember but he was an older gentleman who had grown up in NOLA and had a great sense of humor spent the time telling us stories about the history of NOLA, the stories of Hurricane Katrina, and some local jokes. Then the tour itself was utterly fantastic. Our tour guide, Lil Lou, knew the bayou inside and out -- being part of a long line of families who had lived on the bayou and depended on it for their livelihoods. He showed us not just alligators, but birds, turtles, and have us incredible background and information about all of them. We also got to hold a baby alligator -- which was itself an incredible experience. This tour is great for ALL ages. We went with our 12-year old son and this was his favorite part of the trip too -- tied for first with the French Quarter Segway Tour -- also run by Viator. Can't recommend this tour enough!
We loved this tour. Both guides were wonderful. A beautiful morning in the swamp.
My husband and I took this tour with our two teenage daughters. The bus ride host was great-I do not remember his name, but he shared interesting historical information with us the whole way to Jan Lafitte park. Our swamp tour guide was Lil Lou and he took us out on the Lil Cajun pontoon boat. Lil Lou was the absolute best tour guide we could have asked for. He was knowledgable about the bayou, the history of the area and the wild life. And he delivered all information in a kind and humorous way. He was simply awesome. Definitely would recommend the pontoon boat tour over the air boat ride. The airboat ride is fast, but very, very loud and in my opinion, probably scares away the wildlife.
Took a 13 person business group and everyone absolutely loved it! The boat guide was entertaining and informative and the trip over and back was filled with interesting NOLA facts and restaurant tips from the bus guide.
This tour was amazing. The guide was local which was lovely. He took us around in accordance with passenger interests. A worthwhile outing for sure!!
From the driver and the two tour guides, everything went very well.
