We loved this tour. Both guides were wonderful. A beautiful morning in the swamp.
My husband and I took this tour with our two teenage daughters. The bus ride host was great-I do not remember his name, but he shared interesting historical information with us the whole way to Jan Lafitte park. Our swamp tour guide was Lil Lou and he took us out on the Lil Cajun pontoon boat. Lil Lou was the absolute best tour guide we could have asked for. He was knowledgable about the bayou, the history of the area and the wild life. And he delivered all information in a kind and humorous way. He was simply awesome. Definitely would recommend the pontoon boat tour over the air boat ride. The airboat ride is fast, but very, very loud and in my opinion, probably scares away the wildlife.
Took a 13 person business group and everyone absolutely loved it! The boat guide was entertaining and informative and the trip over and back was filled with interesting NOLA facts and restaurant tips from the bus guide.
This tour was amazing. The guide was local which was lovely. He took us around in accordance with passenger interests. A worthwhile outing for sure!!
From the driver and the two tour guides, everything went very well.
Really a great tour for adults and kids alike. The boat is easy going pontoon so no issues with motion sickness or speeds that create bumpy, back busting ride. Very nice, relaxing, informative.
Guide was great! Found alligators for us to see even on a chilly day!
Our highlight for New Orleans trip! Both of kids were thrilled by holding the baby gator, a must do for family!
really enjoyed this and the tour guide was great and informative. Nice get away from the city. Learned alot.
My son and I joined a group of others to enjoy the sunshine and view the rich flora and fauna of the bayou. A skillful captain piloted the boat while recalling the history of the area and drawing our attention to the haunts of the alligator. They could be seen sunning themselves along the banks and logs protruding out into the water. The alligators cast a baleful eye upon us as we took pictures and marvelled at their prehistoric armour. Turtles, heron, armadillos and buzzards could be seen throughout the bayou. This is a "Must see" for anyone visiting the area.
Our guide, Jason, was informative and passionate. He knew how to find the gators! A friend had been on another tour a couple of weeks ago and didn't see any!
Captain Joey was a riot! The scenary was gorgeous and we learned a lot. We did see a few alligators (November), a blue heron, many turtles and some large fish! Even the bus driver was part of the tour and made the 20 minute ride very enjoyable. I have been on this tour twice and will go again!
The tour was great. If we want to see more gators we'll need to come back during the Spring or Summer.
Great experience! The guide was excellent and made it easy for everyone to see the animals. Without him, this could have been a dull trip. The bus driver gave us an interesting lecture on New Orleans and the damage caused by Katrina. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Louisiana wetands.
The tour was amazing. Our guides were excellent. The tour was everything as advertised and more. Will recommend this tour to everyone who is planning a trip to New Orleans.
Just what I had hoped for, nature in the wild. No staged wildlife and great tour guide. It was cool the day we toured, but we still saw several aligators, turtles, and water foul. The boat is spaceous and comfortable. Plenty of room to roam around and get photos.Family friendly and well organized. The bus ride out to the swamp was comfortable, and even came with a guide as well. I would highly recommend this tour.
