What You Can Expect
Day 1: Parade Viewing Stands (Saturday, February 14th)
Once you receive your voucher head to the location of your prime viewing stands in the French Quarter. Get there early to stake out the best viewing spot above the packed streets. The stands are first-come, first-served and standing room–only. You'll have easy access to clean, portable restrooms and a variety of food and drink (own expense). Best of all, you'll be above the crowds with one of the best viewing spots along the parade route. It's a prime location for catching all the free loot that is hurled from the parade floats!
The parades last most of the day. If you need a break from the action, simply leave and come back whenever you like!
Day 2: Bacchus Bash (Sunday, February 15th)
Your second day of fun is centered around the Krewe of Bacchus parade. Arrive downtown to be part of one of New Orleans' biggest block parties. Escape the crowds and enjoy access to a VIP lounge near the main stage of this all-day event where you can listen to an eclectic array of musical acts.
In your VIP lounge, savor local specialties such as fried green tomatoes, sautéed shrimp, po'boys and New Orleans lump crab cakes at the gourmet buffet, and enjoy drinks at the open bar. Keep partying late into the night as you watch the wild, brightly lit floats of the Bacchus parade go by.
Day 3: Lundi Gras (Monday, February 16th)
Lundi Gras, the day before Mardi Gras, is filled with anticipation. Take the day to explore a variety of activities at your own pace. You can blend in with the locals at the Zulu Festival to hear local brass bands play and welcome Rex (King of Carnival) as he arrives by riverboat on the Mississippi River in the early evening.
Want even more excitement? Upgrade your package to participate in the music-themed parade by the Krewe of Orpheus. In addition to being provided a place on a float and a costume, you'll get 20 cases of beads and a bag of plush souvenirs to throw to the crowd. Afterward, enjoy entrance to a black-tie ball with live music from movie star Gary Sinise and his Lt Dan Band.
Day 4: Mardi Gras (Tuesday, February 17th)
Your 4-day Mardi Gras package culminates on Fat Tuesday. Put on your costume and join a marching club parading through the Faubourg Marigny and French Quarter neighborhoods from 8am–2pm. While most people don't even know you can join a parade, but with this exclusive package (available nowhere else) you'll know exactly where to go to become part of the action! Be prepared for lots of walking through the vibrant streets of New Orleans.
After marching in the parade, head to a private balcony on Bourbon Street from 2pm–11pm. A lunch and dinner buffet of Louisiana specialties is included such as Cajun fried-turkey sandwiches, grilled crawfish sausages, red beans and rice, and, of course, king cake. You will also have access to a premium open bar and plenty of clean restrooms. Balcony space is on a first-come, first-served basis, so you can wander down Bourbon Street and come back and forth as much as you would like. By the time your 4-day Mardi Gras extravaganza concludes at midnight, you'll have enough beads, photos and memories to tide you over until next year's celebration!
Please note: Once your booking is confirmed you will receive detailed information on the exact meeting locations and times for each days activities.
