Great tour and tour guide! Very informative history about the plantations and Creole culture! So glad we did this! Great experience!
This tour should not be missed while travelling to New Orleans. Two completely different plantations, Laura Plantation and Oaks Ally. The guide at the Laura Plantation was excellent and took us all back in time. One of the best things we did in New Orleans. Don't miss out, buy the book about Laura Plantation, it is also very good.
I would never have thought to visit plantations but the timing of the tour made it work with our schedule. The history of the Creoles was so interesting and our tour guide gave us a lot of background on the area. Loved Laura's plantation and seeing slave quarters was moving.
Excellent tour very informative. The guide was very knowledgeable. We would recommend this tour as a must do if it is one's first visit to NOLA.
These two very different plantations showed two different sides of the industry: Laura focussed a lot on slave life and we toured slave accomodations; Oak Alley represented the grandeur and elegance of owning a plantation. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans.
Excellent trip. The tour guides and tourbus driver were very friendly and informative. The weather cooperated making it a memorable tour.
We enjoyed our tour it was Great !!! Only wish we could of had about an couple hours longer at the last plantation so much to see and would of been fun to eat lunch there.Thank you.
This tour was truly amazing and the people that ran this tour where very informative knowing all its history and very friendly. I travelled all the way from Australia for this tour and l would highly recomend this tour.
Ginnie who took us to the plantations was one of the best guides we have ever had, she was very entertaining and taught us so much of the history of New Orleans, she made the long drive go very fast. At Laura the young guide was very good, Oak Alley was more 'touristy' and organised but still great.
