Taronga Zoo's expansive Great Southern Oceans exhibit is now OPEN to the public and it provides an important and thrilling introduction to Australia's marine wildlife. The new 1.2 hectare exhibit features Australian Sea Lions, Australian Fur Seals, New Zealand Fur Seals, Californian Sea Lions, Leopard Seals, Penguins and Pelicans living in unique displays, emulating their natural habitats and offering spectacular viewing for visitors.

Getting to Taronga Zoo on Public Transport:
- Ferries - Depart from Wharf 2 - Circular Quay (Sydney Harbour), every half hour on the quarter hour
- Buses - Stop 247 departs from Wynyard Station (which is located in the Central Business District)
- Trains - There are no trains directly to Taronga Zoo however it is possible to catch a train to Circular Quay Railway Station located at Sydney Harbour and transfer to Taronga Zoo by ferry
