Were disappointed with the rest stops considering we left the highway, all we were offered was 'fast food', it would be helpful for more information regarding the stops so travellers can prepare otherwise the trip was great, shame about the snowstorm on the way home which delayed us
Really enjoyed this bus tour, informative guide and good bus driver, not enough time in
shopping outlet as it was very spread out. Niagara Falls are awesome and Maid of the Mist
was really good. Motel and breakfast was good , well worth the long drive in the bus.
My husband, who has walking difficulties and uses a wheelchair on occasion, and myself really enjoyed this trip. I had tried to inform Viator about the wheelchair before we went but had left it too late. So when we turned up on the day it came as a bit of a surprise to the guides. They however took it all in stride and made sure we had the front two seats on the bus and the driver had the chair on and off at each stop with no problem.
Very comfortable coach and great scenic drive on route and fantastic commentary from Mike our tour guide. Lots of great informative stories about the Amish, the one dollar bill and the Declaration of Independence. Not so good was the food stops, McDonald's for breakfast and Burger King for lunch. However plenty restroom breaks, which was great.
Stopped to visit and trek through a canyon waterfall which was very impressive, unfortunately my husband wasn't able to do the trek as it was too uneven underfoot.
The biggest disappointment was the short time of 50 minutes to see the Niagara Falls on the American side on our first evening. It may have been enough time for everyone else but not for us with the wheelchair and it was not easily accessible with the chair either as one view only had stairs and the other view had a very steep incline. We had stopped at the duty free shop for 40 minutes, I would rather of had this time at the falls as this is what I was paying to see.
Our hotel in Canada was excellent. Nice big room with two very comfortable beds. Had a fantastic meal with great service at a Greek restaurant right across the road and an excellent buffet breakfast. Lunch on the return trip was a Chinese buffet, again excellent food and service.
The highlight of the trip was the Maid of the Mist boat trip - not to be missed - fantastic experience.
Stop at shopping outlet on the way back was again very short and more time would have been appreciated.
On the whole an excellent trip not to be missed.
Most enjoyable journey from NYC to Niagara Falls. The guide was excellent and very informative both fluent in German and English and she explained wherever we were with great enthusiasm. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Well worth it.
IT was nice the only advice is to buy the ticket as early as possible to get the cheap one..lol
I think that tour must incluye hiking to The Cave ofthe Winds
Niagara Falls and Maid of the Mist were definitely a highlight of my holiday.
The tour was very good and the company had thought about the long trip and scheduled appropriate stops.
However I do not appreciate being told by the tour guide what the expected tip should be.
All was good, our bus driver and tour guide were great. I would have enjoyed a 3 day trip as the 2 day is a lot of time on the bus for 2 days. By the time we got to the shopping I was ready to be home and off the bus. We really enjoyed all the sites of the Falls.
We had a wonderful time on the tour! the falls were absolutely amazing, we got to see both the american and Canadian sides and it's a must-see! The hotel we were placed in surprised us positively and was well centralized for the evening activities in town. The only draw-back we had during the trip were our tour-guides. We are a family of six and during the first drive we unfortunately did not arrive early enough to sit all together and a tour guide that was there to translate for a family was sitting between us. That would have not been a problem if he was not translating while our tour-guide was still speaking, he continuously prevented us from hearing the information our tour guide was explaining, When the following day we decided to move away from that spot and sit together as a family, we were pretty rudely asked to sit back in the same spots we were sitting at yesterday, by our tour guide. Other than these technical hiccups the trip was spectacular!
This was a very enjoyable trip. Niagara Falls is beautiful and definitly a site to see. Bus ride was long but we did have plenty of stops to get up and move around. Bee and Matt (hope thats how its spelled) were great. Matt kept us informed and entertain the entire trip. We had to stay on the American side but it was wasn't an issue. The majority of the bus had the proper documents to cross the broader to Canada and about 5 of us did not. The following morning the came and picked up us and we headed to the Maid of the Mist to see the Falls. I only wish we could have stayed a little longer at the Falls but we were on a schedule. Niagara Falls is definitly worth seeing.
I enjoyed the trip, the escort was good and the driver very pleasant and helpful,my only issue was that the escort did absolutely nothing to control the behavior of the passengers, there was a family with a small child sitting in front of me that was allowed to do whatever he wanted, including climbing over his seat and almost falling in my lap.the parents totally ignored this behavior and so did the escort, who actually seemed to enjoy having the child on the bus, after the child almost fail in my lap I spoke to the parents who attemped to control the child, changed seat later, other then that, trip was great
This trip was amazing; the Niagara Falls are fantastic! The guide and the service was very good too! Enjoy yourself with this activity! B and E
