There a ton to see here. Make sure you have several hours to spend and alot of energy to walk around and take in the history.
Great museum.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the dinosaurs on display and the butterfly exhibit was awesome! There was so much to see....definitely worth a visit.

We had an amazing day at the American Museum of Natural History. This is a must see destination whilst in New York. There is so much to see and take in that a full day is required to get the most from your visit. With younger children I would say it is perhaps too much and would not be something I would take my children too. My only criticism is i am not sure what I paid for as the day we went the entire place and side shows was open for free to all so not quite sure what we had paid for so do feel a little bit agrieved in that respect. My 5 star review is for the venue itself.

Excellant but the only bad thing is parking. It is very expensive.
Museum was awesome!!! Definitely need a FULL day to see everything that's offered. Viator passes saved us money and also helped us by pass the line!! I also ran into a little snag, and needed to change the day i planned to visit after i was already in New York. Viator was able to change the dates for me, and send me new vouchers via email with no problems and with no extra charges!!!
