I highly recommend it! A once-in-a-lifetime chance for a bird's eye view of New York City!

We were well taken care of. The captain explained how we would take off and talked us through the sights of the trip. The views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and the city's skyscrapers were amazing. I would recommend this to anyone travelling to New York.

We flew from the VIP heliport. Staff were friendly and the pilot was really nice too, pointing out sights to us. A fantastic view of Manhattan. Definitely a must if you go to New York! Fantastic!

It was brilliant and worth doing if you are visiting New York -- just to say you have been in a helicopter, let alone the amazing views and breathtaking photographs you can take whilst you are in the air.

The helicopter tour was simply wonderful. The only downside was you get the option of 3 different helipads and you book the one you want. You are then asked to call 24 hrs before your flight to book a time. At this point we were told that there was no bookings available at the helipad we had booked, but we could fly from the VIP port for an extra $5 each.
Reviewed by: Paul E, United Kingdom, May 2007 Note from Viator: Thanks for your feedback. We have followed up with our helicopter providers, since you should never be forced to pay extra simply to fly from a different heliport. Sometimes, due to poor weather or security restrictions over New York, a heliport will be temporarily closed. These disruptions are not common, but when they do occur, you should always be offered an alternate choice at no additional cost. If this is not the case, please let us know so that we can go yell at the appropriate staff!
Really good to get your bearings in NYC and is a great into. Really good fun, although had to wait an hour later than planned but it didn't matter afterwards as we were so excited!!!

I was petrified of flying - I cry on plane journeys! But I absolutely loved this experience. The duration of 12 to 15 minutes was just enough for me to enjoy it. The views were fantastic and there were no queues. I would definitely book this again and recommend it to anyone.

I booked this trip as part of a 40th birthday surprise for my husband. The flight was fantastic! Great weather helped, but the pilot took us up and down both sides of Manhattan enabling us to get a great view of all the major sights. The staff were friendly and efficient. I would not go to New York without doing this trip, and would recommend it to anyone. We were also in the air for longer than expected - a definite bonus when you're enjoying yourself. Thanks a lot!

The helicopter trip itself was amazing, however the unwillingness of the tour provider to apply common sense and help me when I had my tour voucher cleaned out of my hotel room was beyond a joke. They would not simply let me print off the voucher from my email account, nor would they even let me give them my email address and password to do it. I had to re-schedule the trip for 6 hours later when the lady from Viator would have access to a fax machine. The trip as I said was so amazing it was one of the best experiences of my life, would highly recommend it.

Very well organised - terrific views. I sat in the middle behind the pilot but I had brilliant views which my camera can attest to. Exciting, breathtaking and a must do.

This is a must if you are strapped for time. 10 minutes in the air is plenty and the pilot was great!
