At least in decent weather, this is a great way to see a range of midtown, downtown, harbor and Brooklyn landmarks. Many unrivaled photo ops. Entertaining but not overly obtrusive announcements.
Excellent tour guide - perfect way to see all that NYC has to offer.
It was a picture perfect day in nyc and our tour director was very knowledgeable and entertaining. You could tell he loves nyc and the feeling rubs off on us.
A fantastic experience, a great way to see some of the famous monuments and skylines. A friendly and knowledgeable guide (Dave) to go along side the cruise, the whole experience was well organised and fun. Tip: arrive early, as they do begin to let you board the cruise a good hour before your time slot, this will allow you to get the seats that you want, as for obvious safety reasons they do not let you stand on the top deck, so once seats have gone they are gone and you will have to be seated on the lower deck. We were lucky as we were very early and got sat on the top deck which made the cruise more special.
Do the SUNSET cruise!!! Have been living in NYC for the past 6 years, and my dad visited me for the first time shortly before the holiday. We couldn't have asked for better weather- and got to see NYC by sunset and the bright lights at night- full moon and all. My dad was enchanted and I fell in love with this city all over again. From views of Jersey, meatpacking, lower manhattan and the Freedom tower to a very close swing around Lady Liberty and under the beautiful bridges of nyc and Brooklyn- We were too engrossed on the outside deck to hear much of the tour guide's spiel (one critique: I would make the speakers louder outside!) What we did hear was accurate and humorous. I appreciated the guide's pragmatic and local suggestions to visiting tourists (ie: exact change on MTA buses, don't get a cab at 12th ave, go to this diner for dinner...) who might have otherwise NOT gone off the beaten path or strayed from the safety of their guide books.
Very good tour, worth every penny- I'd go on a clear day to get the full benefit. Hell, I might go again!
A MUST for a newbie to NYC! My second time with Circle Line-- have done the 3 hour tour and the 2 hour tour. This is the best one if you have a tight sight-seeing schedule. Hits all the highlights of both the NJ and NY sides of the Hudson River, plus a wonderful view of Lady Liberty and under 3 of the bridges on the East River side (Brooklyn Bridge!) Very informative!
Excellent tour guide and would do again as we missed quite a bit due to rain :(
well done cruise. lots of information about the sites we could see. great narration.
Great way to see the Statue of Liberty if you are not wanting to spend entire day on it.
Best way to experience NY skyline within 2 hrs with a tour guide. On a plus side, you can also visit USS Intrepid which is an old warship with a museum and a submarine for u to experience. It is located right beside the Cruise entrance.
This cruise is well worth doing. This 2 hour one is plenty of time to see everything and take some great photographs. It was lovely and warm inside while it was a cold blustery December day outside.
This is a great way to see NYC without the hustle and bustle of a bus tour. The commentary was excellent and covered a great deal of valuable information. An excellent complement to the Hop On Hop Off bus.
amazing views of they city, very good tour, must do if in NYC! xx
You get to see a great view of NYC and take some lovely pics from the boat!
It was a wonderful experience. Will highly recommend it and will do it again. God bless you all
Very good tour. Recommend to anyone wanting to tour lower Manhatten by boat. Excellent views of Statue of Liberty, bridges, and many buildings.
Great. Excellent guide - full of information. It was a marvelous way to get introduced to New York. We got lots of great pictures of the skyscrapers and the Financial Centre. We did get a bit fed up with the number of times the guide reminded us of 9/11.
