Fab ride, well worth the money and you get to see so much. However, we had to wait around for 45 minutes when our flight was meant to be at 2pm so this was not good as wasted our whole afternoon.

The flight was great, although we booked an 11:30am flight that didn't get into the air until 1pm. This put us behind with our other plans but c'est la vie.

Viator were a good agent to book through - very efficient. Unfortunately they book you with a company in which I can almost certainly say you will be disappointed. Want to be made to feel like cattle - then do this tour. Shocking customer service.

I booked the trip as it stated that we would be flying over the city itself, getting close enough to the Statue of Liberty to take photos and Central Park for 25-30 minutes. All we did was fly up and down the Hudson River; we didn't get close to the Statue of Liberty at all. Very disappointed.

It was great to do it for the experience. However we had the worst seats in the helicopter, unfortunately.

We took the 15 minute tour, which is basically a run up the Hudson to the northern end of Manhattan and back. If you are on the 'wrong side' of the helicopter there is not much to see in New Jersey, and photography is difficult through the not very clean windows. Of course any helicopter trip is enjoyable, and everything was run efficiently - though not friendly - but I think the shorter trips round the Statue of Liberty represent better value.

At the helicopter check-in point, make sure the pilot is going to take you on the trip you have booked and not just any old flight over New York! We missed out on some sights, and the tour operator would not provide a partial refund for the altered tour. The company did not advise us of the amended route prior to the flight.

Although we arrived in plenty of time, we were made to wait a little too long outside in the cold. People booked after our group who complained were ushered in. The ride itself was ok, but my headphones were not working. On speaking to other members of my group I found they were a bit disappointed in the pilot's input.

The trip itself was an excellent way to see the West Side and Liberty Island etc, and was well worth doing. On the downside, I was slightly disappointed not to get much of a chance to see the Battery Park/Lower Manhattan area or any of the East Side. I also appreciate the need to ensure that all flights are full at all times. However, putting 6 passengers 2 front, 4 back left me feeling a little crammed. I didn't necessarily feel that I could see everything going on around the helicopter as I was expecting.

The flight was great but would have been better if some sort of commentary highlighting the various buildings and other features had been available. Not a value-for-money flight.

Poor weather was a factor with this experience. When we asked to re-schedule, we were assured that visibility would not be an issue and re-scheduling would not be necessary. Unfortunately, visibility was an issue.
