Firstly I'd like to say that I think "definitely worth doing" should be rated 4 stars! We were lucky enough to have met Gary Susson who actually took all the pictures. His little narration that was made for each picture was very touching and emotional. I am Canadian and followed the 911 footage on TV for what seemed like an eternity. You simply cannot imagine the actual devastation. This workshop was really the highlight of my trip. Well done Gary!

This was a the most poignant and meaningful activity my wife and I did during our visit to NY! I would recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit ground zero. As the 'official' ground zero photographer, Gary Suson fully captured the raw emotions and the magnitude of that horrible day. While the images are somber, you get a sense of the comradery of firefighters, NYPD and New Yorkers.

It was special not only because of the photos, artifacts, and stories, but also because we met the photographer, Gary Suson. A memorable and fulfilling experience.

Very interesting and touching. It's a shame that most people in New York City do not even know this museum exists.

I was absolutely impressed with the many personal and rare artifacts in this small but must see museum. I could have stayed there all day. You can tell someone has put in a lot of time to make this a rare but interesting museum.

When you first walk into the museum you have no idea about what you will see. Starting with a video which recalls events of that fateful day you the move onto the exhibits using an audio aid. The background information on each of the exhibits was truly remarkable and certainly gave an insight into what all rescuers had to endure. The quality and range of exhibits recovered from the site gave an indication of how devastating the impact had been. The sensitivity of the photos stood out and while it was a sobering experience you left the museum understanding the trauma that all the rescuers had to overcome.

A very somber & sobering experience. Amazing amount of information and emotion packed into one small room.

It was very important for us to see this and was definitely worth doing. It wasn't exactly what I had expected, but we still appreciated it.

I thought that the museum was really interesting because you get to hear all the stories about what happened and it was very heart warming as well.

A must if you are visiting NY. It's the biggest little museum in the world. It's so moving and the fact that the photographer who took all the shots is there with you makes it more personal. He only lets a few in at a time which keeps it more intimate - the stories are told in a very sensitive way. Take some tissues though as I don't know how anyone can go in there and not get upset. This place has helped so many of the families of the victims of 911 and it deserves the support of everyone who visits this great city. I would recommend this to everyone - very moving.

This museum is well worth doing. My sister and I suggest everyone who visits NYC do this tour. The stories and artifacts that are carefully presented in his space really bring the reality of what happened home. An extremely tasteful and well constructed space. We completely loved the experience!!
