I visit New York City annually, yet I had never actually walked enough in Central Park to actually get a feel of it. The tour is two hours of walking with a very knid, knowlegeable guide. He took me through some beautiful areas surrounded by green trees and waterfalls. For a park that size, I found it helpful to be taken to areas that I could have easily missed myself.
The tour guide , Stan, was very NYC knowledgeable and also a movie buff ! My husband and son thought the tour was great! It was 2 hours and we really were only able to visit the lower third of the park. I did not realize it was so large!! The temp was about 90 that day. It was hot and it would have been better if it was 10 degrees cooler for me and I love to walk!! But that aside, it was a great walking tour!! Char E
Very informative, tour guide made it more interesting with his knowledge :-)
Great tour! The guide was very knowledgable and informative with a lot of local knowledge! It maybe would have been better if we were issued with maps. We did receive maps but these were issued by friendly 'passers by' maybe something to consider for future tours? However I would recommend!
The guide was not at all knowledgeable. He basically guessed at nearly every feature we encountered. He did, however, take us to some locations that we may not have seen otherwise. Overall, I recommend getting a central park map, and seeing it yourself.
We enjoyed the walking tour of Central Park and we were able to cover a lot of area in the park. Our group consisted of just the three of us in my party and the guide, so in some ways it was like a personal tour. Our guide was very nice but I think he could be better informed about the history of the park. Our impression was that he might be new at this and was still learning about the park himself.
