What You Can Expect
Stop first at Pindar Vineyards, where you’ll enjoy five tastings from their 23 different types of wines. Growing 17 varieties of grapes and encompassing more than 500 scenic acres (202 hectares), this is the largest vineyard on Long Island. Here, as at each winery, take a leisurely walk through the vineyard and witness the winemaking process first-hand.
Hop back on your coach and head to the next winery, Duckwalk Vineyards, repeatedly recognized for excellence in national competitions. Surrounded by 30 acres (12 hectares) of sauvignon blanc grape vines, Duckwalk is known for its Vidal Ice Wine made with grapes actually frozen on the vine, as well as its Blueberry Port, crafted from wild Maine blueberries. In the winery's beautiful tasting room, you’ll sample five distinctive wines.
Next, visit Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard, a rustic-chic winery where you’ll relax for three hours while listening to live rock, blues or jazz music and sampling three wines. Choose from several lunch options including soups, salads and sandwiches (own expense). Then, settle comfortably at the bistro-style wine bar, featuring wrought-iron bar stools and tables and soft lighting, or head to the outdoor tasting deck to breathe in the fresh country air while savoring a glass of full-bodied red or refreshing white wine.
After your full-day wine-tasting tour, you’ll return to New York City in the comfort of your luxury coach.
Awesome day, but maybe not spend so much time at the last winery! Spread the time out evenly!
It was a great tour and a lot of fun. It was a little confusing at first as no one really explained that we just go into the wineries and start but once we figured out you are on your own within the time frame it was perfect. The wineries were great, lots of fun and all the travel was out of our hands.
