Riding around Central Park was brilliant. We took the long route round and its a lovely tour around the park. Other reviews comment on how hard the bike rental place is to find but the voucher gives the address so take a map and you'll be fine.
The cycle lanes dont cover much of the park so a walking tour is a must aswell. We walked our bikes round parts of the park we couldn't ride and it wasnt a problem. People paying at the office paid double the prices on offer on this tour. Not only a "must-do", but a "must-book" through Viator!

Friendly staff, central location.
Good price, as a plus they were able to accomodate to keep my backpack while I went to take the ride.

We made a bike tour in the central park and rented some bikes in56th streeth, reservation with Viator. The bike were nice and OK, all wass arranged when arriving. Our oldest suns could even change their bike by a tandem, no problem with that. Negative: organisation of bike shop was a little stressy, and I was asked for an addtionial garantee for the bike (10€ per bike), wich I refused, because that should be standard.

The bike store is located several blocks from Central Park but once found, they were very accommodating and set us up with our bikes. You then need to walk the bikes to the park- the streets are too busy to ride. Once at the park we had a ball! You can't cycle on the pathways but have to stick to the bike lane on the road which goes around the inside of the park. We did the whole circuit and it was a lot of fun! Well worth doing! We had 2 hours which was about right.

The bike rental shop was a little hard to find and didn't have much in the way of signage to help, but once I found it they seemed friendly and helpful and didn't make it a big deal when I brought the bike back a little late because it started raining and I had to walk it back.

The organisers were great and this is definitely worth doing. It was a bit far to return the bikes after two hours if you want to stay in the park, so better to hire for longer and return at the end of the day.

The=is designated bike rental company is about 3 blocks away from central park! It is quite a walk to pick up and return the bike if you do not want to bike on the Manhattan streets.

Bikes were fine but the rental place's temporary location was kind of far from the park.
