I was very happy that this tour was conducted on Easter, the only day we had available to do it. Turned out we were the only two on the tour but Adrian still took us around, she was very knowledgeable and charming. This turned out to be my daughter's favorite thing on our trip to NYC-probably because she is just like her mother and loves to eat! And oh boy do you eat on this tour! It was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours in NYC.
My husband and I decided that we should learn a bit more about the place we have lived all of our lives. And what could be better-learning and eating? We took the NoLita tour on Saturday with Dan as our guide. He was fantastic, very knowledgeable and entertaining. This tour took us to diverse eateries with ethnic specialties, some which we would have never tried on our own. We made 6 tasting stops and each one was interesting and delicious. Believe them when they say that you should come hungry, because we certainly were full when we were finished. An unexpected surprise was our visit to Old St Patrick's Cathedral. It is an beautiful cathedral, just outside of Little Italy, a reminder of the Irish settlement before the Italians. I highly recommend this tour ! I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did.
Our Food Tour was a yummy success - our Tour Guide, Dan, was knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure to walk with. The food stops were interesting and delicious! The samples were varied and well planned. A great success! Thanks!
Excellent. Tour guide was very good. Very knowlegeable about the New York area. The food samples tremendous. We had party of five and each of us had great time.
I really loved this tour. I felt a genuine connection with the 'real' NY in terms of their food culture. The history and quirks around the food, like the different people and times was so interesting. The food was wonderfully delicious and a really good variation. Our guide was so attentive and lovely. I think it's a great 2-3 hours spent.
Excellent. The guide was full of information and open to discussions. All the food was great and the venues interesting.
Great tour! you get to try real food from different kinds in a neighborhood full of diferent cultures! You get to try a lot of things and you would definetly want to repeat at least one. The only thing I did not like quite much is that it is a lot of food for a short period of time... for the last two samples I ate, I was so full that I did not enjoy them... I guess I should have taken them home... Anyway, anybody can enjoy a lot this tour and know sites that you would normally would not even try (at least for people from abroad).
Our tour guide was very personable. I would have preferred a little more history. The pizza place was not very good nor the hot dog and papya stand. The other places were very good.
This tour was great! We went to so many places I would have never gone into if I wasn't on this tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Loved the stops, trivia info and our tour guide. I am still waiting , though, for you to email the info on all the food stops and their location, as was promised when you asked for our emails,....so that we can actually find these places again to revisit on our own.
Note from Viator: Hi Terese, Thank you for your feedback. We have passed this information along to our supplier, as Viator is not the tour operator. Happy Travels!
Our friends and I agreed that our food tour was great! The food venues provided delicious food and drink. To hear a little bit of the history was something our tour guide Jonathan kindly did on his own. Thanks Viator for a memorable time in the East Village! DM from Arizona
We found it to be a nice introduction to our trip. The guide had a lot to say which was really enjoyable. The food isn't exactly great but it did get us to try local specialities, and that's really what we were looking for.
