Loved it, made our trip to New York. However could have given more time to take pictures at all places of interest.

Fantastic tour! Our guide was a former music industry insider who clearly has a passion for the history and scandal in rock, plus a healthy respect for the role of New York City in the development of so much important music. Great information, wonderful stories, all lead by an interesting and personable tour guide. Highly recommended for any music lover!!

This tour is essential for anyone who wants to know the rock and roll heritage of the Lower East Side. NYC is trying to erase any trace of these famous clubs and venues - see it before its gone! You will see the places that made Warhol, Led Zeppelin, New York Dolls, the Ramones and many more. Our guide was knowledgeable but laid-back, so you don't have to be a rock star to participate - just have a healthy interest!!

Definitely a highlight of our first trip to New York. The guide was friendly, informative and took us places we would not have seen on our own.

The Ramones, New York punk, glam, the music scene in the 1970s, '80s and '90s - it's all covered. I enjoyed this almost as much as I enjoyed sitting next to Joey Ramone on a rickety bus in India back in the 1970s when we got, um, well, that's a story for a different time. Take this tour!

I thought it was great! The guide really knew his stuff and was able to talk about events in a lively, fun manner. There was no 'canned' feeling to his tour. For example: In front of a building that is now a Chipotle and a SuperCuts, he was able to set the scene of a Warhol party - we could really picture what happened. I loved all the Ramones and punk info. We got to see where Charlie Parker lived. It was fun to finish up at CBGBs. I fully recommend it.

The day was freezingly cold, with strong winds howling around the corners, but the tour was definitely worth the effort. I never would have found the places or the stories our guide had dug up for us.

The tour facilitator was very knowledgeable and interesting. Quite a bit of walking, but worth it for the experience.

The guide was very prepared and interesting. He was also entertaining. I am just sorry that a lot of the historic places he showed us had not been preserved and could be seen only from the outside or through his pictures.
