We were a large group but John kept things lively. We saw a lot and his stories and anecdotes made the tour a great experience. Clearly John knows his stuff--and his joy of tourguiding came through clearly on a brisk but sunny day.
Our tour guide, Natalie was wonderful. She enjoyed fashion and was able to share little tidbits about the city and fashion industry along the way. There's a good bit of walking, but it is to be expected for the serious shopper. Nice range of purchase items from high end fur to jewelry to casual and business wear. If you are on the smaller size, say a size 2, 4 or 6 you can get GREAT deals from shopping the sample sales. This is my second tour, but it won't be my last.
This was a great tour. We were able to visit designer showrooms and purchase clothing and accessories at up to 50 off retail pricing. Many of the brands can be found in Neiman Marcus, Macy's etc. Our guide was very passionate about fashion which made it all the more fun. I highly recommend this tour.
Lots of fun!
This was an excellent tour with access to some designer gems. My only regret was that my suitcase was not bigger. I was on such I high , I forgot to tip the guide - who was fabulous too.
Natalie was an outstanding guide answering questions and providing a fun and informative experience. Would love to do it again!
Fabulous shopping tour of the Garment District. Our guide, Keve, was knowledgeable and personable and fun to be with. I can't recommend this highly enough.
We were very happy with the variety of showrooms on the tour, and each of us found something to buy, even my 10 year old granddaughter. Jacque was well-organised, informative and took the trouble to arrange for us to recover an item left behind in one of the showrooms.
Tour guide told us all about the places we went to. was very informative and took us to a variety of factories. Guide also gave us directions, advice and places to do additional shopping which was not on the tour. Did not know about the great restaurants in New York however one of the streets we passes she told us about the variety of foods and prices. Very educational tour also.
Hardeep was excellent. I enjoyed most of the stops. Got some great pieces at very reasonable prices. I liked that we also received a list of other sample sales we could go to on our own. We did, and found some great stuff. A college student interested in fashion design accompanied me and she was able to ask designers, student interns and our guide questions about the fashion industry and how to break into it. Our guide gave her some excellent tips and resources to keep her up to date on industry trends.
