Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the New York Mafia Tour: Little Italy’s Mobsters, Gangsters and Tough Guys. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
A great insight into the mob and how they operated fascinating and lots of sites from movies.
Really great tour! The tour guide was friendly and really knowledgeable and all the stops on the tour were fascinating. Perfect length of time too as you had enough time to find out load but not so long your walking for too long. Definitely would recommend!
My 18 year old son and myself greatly enjoyed this tour. The tour guide, Justin, was engaging and informative. Unfortunately renovation work is being carried out on old St Patrick's Cathedral so we couldn't go and visit the interior. We saw the house where Martin Scorsese grew up, the bar where Al Pacino and Johnny Depp had the ring scene in Donnie Brasco, walking down Mulberry St is evocative of many old films, and more recently my son's favorite The Sopranos. Highly recommended.
We had a great time! We learned so much! The guide was very accommodating! Thanks!
Great fun and Justin was hugely knowledgeable about the Mafia and had tons of good stories. Would recommend anyone to do this tour when next they are in NYC
We enjoyed our tour of Little Italy, Chinatown, and Tribeca alot. Our tour guide, Alex was phenomenal!!! He gave us a wealth of knowledge about the history of the NY Mafia. I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to know more about it. It is evident that Alex is very passionate about history and enjoys relaying his knowledge about it to others!!!
Great tour, very very interesting. We did this tour because our little son loves everything related to gangsters. But in the end we and the other children loved this tour. The tourguide Alex gave us so much information. Best tourguide ever.
LOVED Walter! He had great information about Little Italy and was great! The weather sucked, but he was out there with us!
Although it was a cold day out, I give this tour 5/5 stars b/c it was a fantastic 2 hours spent walking around Little Italy ( and surrounds) with an extremely knowledgeable guide. Great way to see a different part of NY and learn something interesting while at it.
Tour was great and the guide was very knowledgeable and fun. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
The subject matter is so interesting, but we were left wishing there were more stories, more in depth talk. The fact that it is held on Saturdays, when Mulberry St is closed to traffic is GREAT! We've lived in NY for over 40 years and didn't know that takes place every Sat!!! Really enjoyed that!
The tour was very interesting. Our guide was knowledgeable and very nice. I would recommend it. I have one suggestion. I know tours have tight schedules, but I would recommend building in a 10 to 15 min stop at a coffee shop/deli in the neighborhood, after the 1st hour. A couple of stories normally shared while walking could be shared while everyone can hear and appreciate a bit of a break in a comfortable setting. I earned "cool mom" points from my son for arranging this excursion!
interesting tour ,Only lasted 1hour 15 mins not the 2 hour 30 mins stated on viator
This tour was average. The guide was perfectly civil and very informative but I feel he didn't have the personality to make this tour really good. he could have made more effort with his clothing.
This tour was good and our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Hats off to him!!!
Interesting tour. Walter our tour guide very friendly and helpful
Guide was v informative and weather was great, however, we didn't actually get to go INTO any restaurants or sites with the exception of one church (old St Patrick's) so for me, THAT was best part. Also would've been great to have coffee , a cannoli, or something while there
Not good not very long a bit of a mix of real gangster and film gangster.the guide did not know any thing else but the tour .so limited talk about new york as a hole.
Very disappointing, since our tour guide never showed. We waited a long time and checked the info on our ticket several times so we were absolutey sure we were at the right place at the right time. Then we tried to get hold of someone but it turned out to be impossible to talk to a real person instead of listening to taped talks. A pity, we had been looking forward to this tour very much.
We missed the beginning of this tour because the meeting place instructions were less than precise. I called the telephone number shown on my certificate to find our guide, but there was no answer. The guide was less than enthusiastic, moving on from site to site with little explanation. You might be well to skip this tour.
