Great trip, went with Dr Michael Day, what a knowledgable man - learned quite a bit about American history. Enjoyed meeting up with Amish people, a great all round trip.

Unfortunately the day started off badly - we waited in a line for a very long time - apparently the tour guide didn't turn up or something, so one bus went off on time and ours went almost an hour later. This meant the stop at Philadelphia was quite rushed as they we trying to make up for lost time. But I am glad they cut short that part and not the Amish part.
I loved the wagon ride with the Amish farmer and he took us to his farm nearby where his wife came out with lemonade, cookies etc which we could purchase. The farmer was lovely and told us all about his family life. The scenery is beautiful and I loved seeing the men using ploughs and horses. Well worth doing.

This was a lovely trip. We enjoyed seeing the countryside and Philadelphia is a lovely city. Having been farmers we were very interested in the Amish visit and enjoyed it very much! We learned a lot about them and were amazed to see the farms and how beautiful and well run they were. We even managed to see of their magnificent quilts for sale when we stopped for lunch. Couldn't afford them though! :-( - A most enjoyable day and not very rushed!

Loved the tour of Philly but it was marred by excessive rain. The Amish tour was very interesting. Overall a must for people who like American history.

A nice experience! it is nice to see how things evolved in American History, this trip will shed a lot of light on how America became what it is today.
The Amish part of the trip is ok but does not show much about their way of life.

The group was quite big, maybe 60 people, but everyone who wanted to hear what the guide said could easily do that. We were sadly quite hurried in Philadelphia - the only free time to buy souvenirs etc. is the time that you're given to have brunch. But the Amish Country - fantastc! Free time to see around in Kitchen Kettle village and eat. Overall - we were happy that we took this trip!

Very funny tour guide which made the tour fun. Would've been nicer to spend a little more time in Amish country. Would've also been nice to have the lunch options made more known rather than being "forced" into a kind of expensive buffet place

This was an interesting tour. I would have liked to have gone inside the Betsy Ross house - not just look in the gift shop. It is a long day and because so much ground is to be covered it is not always possible to spend as much time as I would have liked at various places. I enjoyed what we did see and am glad that I took the tour.

Excellent - a pity about the weather, but that can't be helped. Comfortable coach, informative courier. Interesting insight into the Amish way of life I hadn't known about. Would reccomend!
