The Skyride was fine, but the three hour wait in non-air conditioned rooms was horrible. I wouldn't recommend it until they improve the wait.

Long lines, poorly organized.

The Empire State Building Observatory is definitely worth the visit. NY Skyride was disappointing, very overrated. We visited during the evening; the queues were not long. Understand there are long queues during the daytime, and this ticket allows you to bypass some of these.

There were too many people, and the service was bad.

This sounds a bit picky, and I should have investigated more, but I wasn't prepared for the queues. I should have known better than to book the Skyride, as I hate scary rides. The views from the top of the building are amazing, but aren't necessarily worth all the queuing to see them. We did do this at the end of a day's sightseeing, so we were tired and our feet were killing us. Just be prepared for the wait, and pre-book!

The observatory is the observatory. It's just as impressive as it was when I was 8 years old. Nothing wrong there. However, the Skyride was a bit of a disappointment. There were some very good views, but the ride was extremely bumpy and we "flew by" things too fast to really get a good look. Also, the screen needs to be bigger to get the full effect.

The Skyride was a joke, but the view was wonderful.

This was worth doing, but the ride is not that special or interesting. Still, I would do it again.

Thought it could have been a bit more informative.

Skyride not really up to much, rather drab and tame for the money. Empire State Building is worth going up, personal choice would be forget the Skyride and just get a ticket for the Empire State Building.

The movie was lame, and it took an excruciating amount of patience and time to get to the observatory AND to get back down again! Sorry, this was a loser.

It was very crowded and claustrophobic waiting to go into the ride, the pre-ride video presentation was short and not very informative. Staff looked miserable and unfriendly - not a happy experience at all. My two daughters were not impressed.

Major disappointment. Instead of gliding over NY seeing the beautiful sights, we were jostled around until everyone felt ill. We were expecting a beautiful experience with NY scenery - instead we felt like we were on a Star Wars thrill ride. I would never recommend this to anyone.

This ride was too gimmicky and was more like a fairground ride. The seats shook all of the time and a lot of time was spent at ground level, rushing around at high speed and crashing into people and cars. It could have been so much better if it had just been like a conventional helicopter viewing.
