My two star rating is for the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. As for Daryl the guide - no rating as we don't like being treated as fools! His manner with us was rude and somewhat alarming. Quite a strange person to say the least!

Good guide, but disappointing. Of course some of that had to do with rain, so we never got over to the stateus itself. It's better from the water.

I don't know why we paid for a guide. All he did was get us through the line. At Ellis Island he left us to explore on our own, as on Liberty Island. He was a chauffeur!

I will be sending a comprehensive review to a contact at Viator. Basically, the negatives about this tour were because the guide failed to show up and the manager was called. He came as quickly as possible - a very good thing - but that situation caused a one-hour delay in the start of the tour. The tour was rushed all the way through, consequently, and some members of the group were in real trouble because they had scheduled tours back-to-back. Those in our group felt ripped off by the entire experience. The manager offered apologies but no compensation for the late start, the fact that we had to wait for an hour early in the morning, or the general rush.

Did not take this tour at the end anymore as we were told by everybody in the city that the recent happenings in New York. We tried contacting the provider but could not get through to speak to anybody and, as it was very cold, we did not take the chance to go to the meeting point and not have anybody there. So not sure till now if the tour actually happened

we have never been on such an awful tour .When we arrived at the meeting point the tour guide did'nt even have our names on his list ,from then on he was nothing but patronizing and sarcastic. There was NO fast tracking the queue to the boat ,he left us on the dock will he travelled on the boat to Ellis Island 0n his own ,and throught it was highly funny and on Ellis Island he garbled a bit about the place and then made a hasty retreat which left us dumb founded , all in all he spent just over an 1hr with us .

There was no skipping the line. Our tour guide was awful. She dropped us off at Ellis island and left after a quick explanation. The tour was only 2.5 hours and not as advertised. Save your money and do it yourself trust me!!!

I was not impressed at all. If you are expecting a informational guided tour, pick another one. If you need help getting from Times Square to the Statue it may be worth your money. It was a more "we get you there" then a "guided tour" as we expected. The guide was on the first boat off the island and we were just getting started at the Statute.

I do not recommend this tour...Our guide picked us up and took us to the subway. Then, we boarded the ferry to Liberty Island and we were on our own from then on. He did not stay with us, nor did he explain anything about where we were. His only involvement in the tour was to get us on the ferry and drop us off. It would have been nice to have some sort of explanation about the history of the status and Ellis island. There are tours available on Ellis island, but you can do those on your own. Overall, I think this tour was a waste of money and I could have do it on my own. I guess skipping the line is a good thing, but there was no line to skip...Maybe in summer time, when it is more busy, it might be worth it just to avoid waiting in line. Ohterwise, skip this tour, save money, do it on your own...

This was a disappointing tour. The experience of going to Ellis Island and the Saute of Liberty was great. The skip the line part of the tour was only good for the first ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty . We had to wait on line to leave the Statue of Liberty and go to Ellis Island and then again to return to Manhattan. As a group of 45 people we followed the guide from the meeting place to the Ferry. Because of the large number of people in the group and the city noise it was difficult to hear the guide. Once we exited the Ferry at the Statue of Liberty. Our guide told us he would be in the cafeteria and if we needed him we could find him there. He said we might see him on Ellis Island. We were expecting that a walking tour meant he was going to show us the Statue and tell us the history behind her and then accompany us to Ellis Island, showing us the noteworthy sights. That didn't happen at all. Not really sure what I paid for. We were very disappointed in the so called tour and the lazy tour guide. This would be better titled by leaving off the "walking tour" portion of the title.
